  1. Yes, I wash my fruits and veggies. I'm concerned about flour floating through the air and getting on everything close by.
  2. I checked the website and it doesn't sound like I am hypo as my PTH got up to the normal range again. I also don't have any of the tingling and have very few muscle cramps. I definitely will have my PTH level checked in two weeks to make sure it is still normal. My magnesium level was also normal the last time I had it checked. I do supplement with it...
  3. I got to thinking that it would be easy to get cc from buying produce at a store that has their produce department right by their bakery. Has that been a problem for any of you?
  4. Have you gone gluten free or are you getting tested first?
  5. I sympathize with you because I am going through the same thing right now. Either I got glutened severely from cc or reacted to too many antifungals or both. I, too, really don't know where to start. I can't figure out what foods my stomach can handle right now and what it can't. The terrible D has let up, but food is still going through me unprocessed...
  6. georgie, You really seemed informed about hyperparathyroidism. I hope you can answer some questions for me. I had 3+ parathyroid glands removed about 18 months ago due to hyperparathyroidism. I haven't had my calcium and D levels checked in nine months. I have a DO appointment in two weeks and would like to get them checked again as I'm hoping to...
  7. Can anyone recommend a good gluten free liquid vitamin?
  8. My dishwasher is pretty old so I'm not so certain about all the soap getting off. I just hope it is all gluten free. I am still waiting to hear if Cascade still is. I am guessing lots of liquid dish soap for hand washing dishes could have gluten in it. Since it is added to so many other soap products, there could be a good chance of it.
  9. At LeAnn Chin I ordered a gluten free meal. The server dished up my rice and and set it in the warmer by all the other foods. He put together quite a few other orders by the time my food was ready. I politely asked him for a new dish of rice. He didn't look to happy about it but did get me a new one. Another time I ate there, I found a piece of fried...
  10. I signed up for a gluten free cooking class and hope that enough people signed up for it so it isn't cancelled. I want to meet someone local that is going through the same thing I am. No one that I know fully understands what I'm going through. A friend tells me she can't handle gluten but every time we are together she is eating something glutenous...
  11. I was also against it my whole life but tried it a few years ago for anxiety. I didn't know at that time that gluten was my problem so was still consuming it. I got no relief from it. I wonder now that I am gluten free if it would help me. For the past couple of days I have been sick again so sure wish I could give it a try.
  12. I have read so much on treatment and a lot of what I read suggestion to change antifungals without taking a break. Right now I am taking the break! I sure hope that it brings me relief within a few days. I have tried caprylic acid, grapefruit seed extract, oil of oregano and olive leaf extract each for at least 3-4 weeks and did not have this happen before...
  13. I have been taking different antifungals for candida for quite some time. I have also tried Candex but that didn't seem to be taking care of it. I normally get die off symptoms of worse headaches, body aches and mild depression for a two days and then it gets better. For the last three days, I have also had diarrhea, nervousness, cold sweats and anxiety...
  14. Have you tried contacting them on this since your husband and SIL have symptoms again and then got better after switching to Method? Did the symptoms show up on a daily basis or was it hit and miss? I seem to be getting sick way too often but it isn't every day. I do use Cascade. I'll have to get some Method next time I get to the store and see if my...
  15. Floss, brush and mouthwash. I'm sick too much of the time the way it is.
  16. Sorry to hear of your loss. Do keep pampering yourself. You are worth it!
  17. This sounds so restrictive to me. One of the many reasons I am leaving the Catholic church. The church I am joining will let me bring anything I want for the host. It's going to be Ener-G pretzels for me.
  18. It sounds to me like you diagnosed yourself accurately. The diet really isn't a problem once you get use to it. We just eat healthier than most people.
  19. I do love the monkey!!!
  20. Would it look like a monkey! hee hee
  21. I've made four different impossible pies with gluten free Bisquick. They all turned out. I do add an extra egg and a bit less milk. The recipes I tried said to bake for 30-35 minutes. I have had to bake them for 90 minutes for them to be done in the center. I do think my oven is working properly. The edges get brown in about a half hour so I then cover...
  22. Even though your sisters don't have GI issues from CC, they shouldn't be risking it. They may be doing other damage that won't be noticable until later. Of course, they are the ones who have to make that decision. Just stick to your guns and eat what you need to for your well being. It does get easier after a while. I seldom eat at a restaurant...
  23. I love these cookies, too. I like them better with all white SUGAR and usually omit the vanilla. They are so quick and easy. My grandkids love them, too!
  24. Tha is great news! I was told that my osteopenia would reverse after having surgery for hyperparathyroidism. I haven't had a scan since my surgery 16 months ago. Guess I'll have to see if my DO will order a scan. I'm still taking close to 2000 mg. of calcium citrate, 4000 IU Vitamin D3 daily along with magnesium glycinate. I'd love to be able...
