  1. So, you tested negative after being gluten-free for a long time? If being gluten-free works for you...just continue.
  2. Maybe try gluten free for a month or two and see if it helps? There is no other way, currently, to test for non-Celiac Gluten sensitivity. I know a couple of people who tested negative that found being gluten-free helpful.

  4. The original list is from 2006. In 7 years, ingredients change, some of these products might not even be made any longer. I would suggest you check with the company for an updated list
  5. I haven't encountered any hams with gluten. Honey baked says they are gluten-free last I looked.
  6. Have you looked for Celiac support groups? You might google it. Not sure how current the one on the home page is.   7. Sounds like they do use a little corn starch. But, that isn't the myth you were repeating or asking about. They don't contain gluten. cm
  8. Another Celiac myth. Around here somewhere is a letter from the Envelope Association. Most glue is synthetic these days. I hate licking them and use a little bit of paper towel.
  9. What did the label say that concerned you? Do they actually add wheat to this? At least they labelled the wheat in the ingredients. Looked this up and it looks like the ingredients are : Organic White Quinoa, organic millet, organic red quinoa, Organic buckwheat I don't see any problem there.
  10. Do they have a PF CHangs? Pei Wei, Outback Steak House, Red Robin? Those are all chains with a good gluten-free reputation. As it is a college town, there are probably some local places near campus that do gluten-free - they might be vegan or health food type places. Also, local steak places usually are a good place for gluten-free.
  11. I have the G peppermint bark. Just read the ingredients and it looks gluten-free to me. As for Starbucks? Is there a specific question? I get lattes there all the time. I would suggest asking to read the labels of the flavorings for malt, but most are gluten-free.
  12. Currently, there doesn't seem to be a good test for celiac without eating gluten. Blood tests look for antibodies. antibodies are made in response to gluten - so - no gluten, no antibodies. The endoscopic biopsy looks for damage but, hopefully, on a gluten-free diet, that damage has healed. As research continues, I would guess that blood tests would...
  13. Once again, you have dredged up a very old thread. There is no reason to believe there is gluten in pickles. I have never seen it. Please explain which brands and perhaps link to the ingredients? Having a " reaction" to something does not mean it has gluten. Perhaps there are spices or just the acid that bothers you?

  17. Just sounds like a legal disclaimer. They don't test so they won't say if something is gluten-free or not.

  19. The info on this thread is more than 6 years old. Products change over time. Pam has no gluten ingredients and I use it all the time. However, baking sprays with flour, of course, have gluten. Those are meant for baking a cake when the recipes says butter and lightly flour the pan. You wouldn't use those for normal cooking or even cookie baking.
  20. I meant - if you have more than 1 HyVee - some HyVees have more than others. We have one here that has 4 times more than Whole Foods. Also, with HyVee, if there is a product you have heard good things about - they might order it and see how it sells.
  21. I live in KC. Some stores have a lot more of the specialty gluten-free foods than others. So, check all of the stores in the area - you might find one that is even better. And they have gluten-free product tasting days occasionally.

What was interesting is - they took Celiacs with negative TTGs. Fed them teeny tiny ( more than the 20 ppm though) amounts of gluten for 2 weeks. There TTGs didn't go positive.   24. I'm not sure what you mean by " native" but the antibodies for celiac are the same. If it were me, I would request copies of the Cleiac blood panel and see what they tested, if they really did the correct tests.
  25. I really have no idea what bullion is free range but the title gave me a good chuckle. I pictured little bullion cubes rolling around the pasture. Do you have any "health food" stores? like Whole Foods? They might have something.
