  1. Can you imagine the looks on the Robotics kids faces when I whipped that out? It might be worth it to buy one!
  2. I use this one and its very good.Open Original Shared Link 1 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1 large egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) Smash with a fork. It uses so little egg, I think it's ideal for egg replacer.
  3. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/ Maybe your mom could go to a therapy session with you?
  4. Here is a good place to start: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/ This notion of hidden gluten is fueled by Internet rumors. In the US & Canada, wheat must be clearly labelled in the ingredients. You don't have to be perfect the first few days. It can take a few months to figure it all out. Is your doctor sending you...
  5. I don't remember if Rowena has an actual diagnosis on paper? If so, I would take that to the WIC office along with something explaining Celiac from a reliable source like: Open Original Shared Link

  7. FYI- you are replying to an 8 year old post. Probably won't get a response from them.
  8. There is no real scientific evidence for this " cross- reactive" foods to gluten.
  9. Sounds like it could be food poisoning. Extreme vomiting isn't a common symptom of Celiac. I assume, since you went to the ER, they did a pregnancy test?
  10. Brianna's vinaigrette with the strawberry on the bottle, has become our favorite thanks to your suggestion. I try not to look at the other flavors. But I figure that, even if your salad has as many calories as a Big Mac is also has a lot more fiber and vitamins than one.
  11. It would be better if they aired an episode where other kids stood up to the bully and they explained food allergies & Celiac at a simple kid friendly level.
  12. Just want to make sure you realize that she cannot be tested for Celiac if she isn't eating gluten. So if you need a diagnosis for school, day care, hospitalizations, summer camps, etc., she will need to be eating gluten to get tested. I know that seems like a long way off, but kids grow up fast. Here's a good place to start https://www.celiac.com...
  13. Oh great....like I needed an excuse to buy the glutino white covered pretzels
  14. Yum! I'll be right over for some fancy green beans!
  15. These are for a specific grocery store? Or am I just clueless? A very real possibility!
  16. Welocme back, Ro! I commented on your other thread without realizing it was you! Congrats on the baby! Getting any sleep?
  17. Actually, I doubt grains actually sprouted overnight during harvest. That's not really how seeds work. Nor would you be able to grind them into flour or store them for long if they did. But anyway....sprouted wheat is still wheat and not for people with Celiac disease.
  18. My neice said she got Chex on WIC. Never seen a PB with gluten nor plain canned beans. Read the ingredients.
  19. Probably saw a kidney stone or two. They might not be bothering you but there are ways to get rid of them before they cause you trouble. Relax.

  22. Can't find the link to the bacon jam everyone was making at Christmas. Would someone add that, please?
  23. I think we need a fun thread. Bacon seems to be a popular food....so I thought...we need a thread of bacon recipes. Here is an interesting one: Open Original Shared Link
