    Advice Please

You might want to read on the forum for information. Post your questions there if you want to get some answers.
  3. Just an FYI - The last post in this thread is 6 years old.
  4. Just a clarification: Most vinegar does not contain malt. Only "malt vinegar" contains barley malt. It will say "malt vinegar" on the ingredients.
  5. Check this one out. It has some links to an older thread, too.
  6. just to clarify: During an endoscopy, a doctor takes a very small piece of the lining ( inside layer) of the intestine. They can't take big pieces of your intestines out during an endoscopy. They don't cut all the way thru the intestine, either. That would leave a hole that would leak into your abdominal cavity and make you very sick or kill you. ...
  7. Did you want to post a link to an article?
  8. This isn't meant to be mean. You are on here alot with foods you think have made you sick with gluten. Have you had a week of gluten-free and feeling good? I am wondering if you are reacting to gluten or just haven't healed. Perhaps you should skip all the pre-made stuff and stick to fresh or frozen fruit, veggies, plain meats, rice for a few weeks...
  9. Brillant! The those are the best parts!
  10. We got a foil grill pan from Walmart about 3 for $3. They have little holes on the bottom you can open to let grease out. Hub put them on the grill before heating it up. Lined the holes in the pan up with the spaces on the grill and then open the holes bigger for burgers. Nothing touched the dirty grill and you can throw the pans away. Another option...
  11. Someone or two on here have said they have a problem with some water filters because they have a problem with coconut. Trying to remember who
  12. Please remember that you are responding to a 5 year old thread. Product info and ingredietns may have changed in such a long time.
  13. I'm not sure where you live, but I have never seen a PB with gluten in it.
  14. You tried a sample at the store? There's your problem, most likely. Who knows how they made that salad. Did they rinse some of the veggies in the same colander they just made some noodles for another sample? Were there some croutons in it that may have been eaten or hidden before you saw it? What if they used malt cinegar in thier salad dressing? You...
  15. Refried beans - we had chipolte peppers. Take the canned in adobo. Carefully take out the seeds, then puree the chilis and the adobo sauce. Mix some into your refried beans, freeze the rest. You could do one of those "Cowboy CAviar" dips with out the tomatoes or corn (Beans, onion, garlic, vinegar, cilantro, small bits of pineapple or zuchini)
  16. What about fruit salsas? lots of recipes for them on the internet right now. Hummus? Refried beans? Pestos (can make them with any green like basil, arugula, kale and some garlic, salt) Here's one Irish Heart gave me: 1 mango, diced small 1/2 pineapple. diced small 1/2 red onion, diced small 1/2 jalapeno pepper, minced small bunch fresh chopped...
  17. Sonic does have a lot of breaded and fried foods. I would bet they are all fried together. You could go and ask. In and Out and Five Guys only fry potatoes
  18. Like Peter and I have said, there are no credible Celiac sources that say we need to worry about these chemicals. That assumes you aren't eating them? Still, any cc of gluten wouldn't be what made you sick if you ate them.
  19. I wouldn't worry about inks. They aren't all over my hands or on my food or dishes. I doubt they have any gluten. If they were dangerous, I'm sure the various Celiac Centers and associations would have the word out.
  20. NO!!!! I can't handle all these abreviations!
  21. I used to toast the pumpkin seeds from the jack-o-lanterns as a kid. You couldn't really buy them at that time. Now, if I want them, I will buy them. We still take the Jack-o_lantern seeds and save them. We dry them on a low heat in the oven, then save them for a really cold day and put them out for the squirrels and Jays. Might have to get the jelly...
  22. Would probably have words most of us couldn't pronounce much less spell!
  23. You can buy the candy anywhere, I would think? Open Original Shared Link Not everything sold on Nuts.com is gluten-free. For example the licorice contains wheat.
  24. Hi David. I think you meant endoscopies not colonoscopies. I'm only clarifying that as we have seen that a lot of American GI docs seem to not understand that Celiac is in the small intestine (endoscopy) rather than the large (colonoscopy).
