  1. Actually, I'm not sure that is the " big question". I think the big question is why you are quibbling over the amount you can cheat with?
  2. Maybe the head congestion has nothing to do with a food? My sons have been working outside, in the country. Here, corn pollen is " in season". He wasn't taking allergy med and woke up congested with a headache. Five days gluten-free is too soon to try to figure out what else, if anything, may be bothering you. Eat simply and don't buy a bunch of gluten...
  3. Did you see the article Ken posted on Teff biscuits?
  4. Nah! Nah! We can't stress the cc in a fryer, too much. The fryer does not " kill" or destroy gluten.
  5. We can't eat them. We can only eat oats that are gluten free. Most oats have some wheat accidently mixed in.
  6. We can have fries, just not at most restauraunts because of cc. If they fry things like chicken finger or onion rings in the same oil, there will be little bits in the oil. Because the opinion rings, etc are coated in a flout mixture, we can't eat the fries. Same with chips in Mexican restauraunts. It sucks!
  7. Just a note that the " lecture" was 3 years ago.
  8. What about these? You could make them with Hemp seed, fox and/ or sun flower seeds, pumpkin seeds. Or a mix. Might have to experiment. Edit: "fox"? Spellcheck, really? Flax changed to fox? I guess Spell check has a point, fox would add a unique flavor and you probably aren't intolerant or allergic to fox meat!
  9. What about seeds? They aren't nuts. Would have to check if they are cooked in corn oil. You might be able to get raw and toast them in the oven. We have done that with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Do you like sunnut butter? On apples? Hummus and dip carrots and cukes? Homemade salsa and dip celery or cukes or those jicama things cut into...
  10. Snyders makes some certified gluten-free snacks. One is a white cheese puff. Yum. Also the multigrain torilla chips are great! Hard to find here as they sell out as quickly as the store gets them. Open Original Shared Link
  11. Here's the list from Frito Lay America Open Original Shared Link
  12. One thought: if bread was your main fiber source, perhaps you need more fiber? It can take months to get everything adjusted and working smoothly. Hang in there. Oh....and drink extra water. Damaged intestines seem to need extra water.
  13. I'll heat it up as it passes thru!
  14. Use the google in the upper right corner to search for " bread machine" or " bread maker". I know we have and lots of posts with recipes and suggestions. If you find a helpful one, you might put the link to it for others who are following along
  15. So we are having a " fun" 4 th. hub is installing 2 faucets we bought 6 years ago. Boys are at the tent from 8 am today until 2 am. I'm just cleaning out some drawers/ cabinets. At least it's cool in the house. I think chickens, raccoons , coyotes and hikers would melt here.
  16. I don't think this email is so bad. I would take it to the new doc. I would keep it in my purse and see if he suggests these things. If not, show it to him so he can see that other experts want all problems considered. You might want to take pictures so his diaper poops for a few days to prove how much he goes? How much he eats and drinks and how...
  17. Took some Slushies to my boys working at the Fireworks tent about 3:30. M is working in a well ventalated section and its stinking hot! J was working in the back, in a section that forms 3 walls of shelves. At the open end, they had a giant fan pushing hot air around that box-like area. It was like a convection oven! Supposed to be a little hotter tomorrow...

    He eats gluten-free, right?
  19. I wouldn't use it! Wheat protein is the part we react to.
  20. I think that is an excellant question for the doctor.
  21. Can you call or email the company and find out what the vit E comes from?

    ARCHIVED Dish Soap

I think the real solution is that someone else should do the dishes!
  23. My shampoo, etc doesn't say gluten-free on it. It doesn't list anything like wheat germ oil. Might not be too hard to find. I hope....
  24. For me, I like to have anything that could get in my mouth or on my food gluten-free. So, shampoo can get in your mouth in the shower and often gets on your lips, too. Lotion that sticks on your fingers might get on your food. Things you spray like bug repellant or hair spray, fly in the air and get on your lips. I think we have all tasted hair spray...
