  1. I carry a doctors note with me in case this happens. I also check the outside food policy ahead of time to see if there will be an issue. If I can't find any clear way to bring my food. I email or call. I have had to send the doctors note once ( which actually may be illegal to require that per ADA). I don't mind them knowing why I need my food. celiac...
  2. It's normal to have stool in your colon. That's where it accumulates until you are ready to go to the bathroom. Did he say it was an unusual amount of stool? Uterine fibroids? Get that sent to the OB/GYN to see if they need to be taken care of. You need to speak up and ask these doctors what they mean and what to do next. They are paid to help you...
  3. Could you post the Celiac tests full names, results and normal ranges?
  4. Are you close to being 18? If so, you could wait and get a copy. If not, ask your mom to let you have a copy of the blood work, procedure report and pathology report. Here are two reasons for her: You are so young and if a doctor in the future wanted to see them, they might not be available any longer. Seeing the results for yourself will prove to you...
  5. I am enjoying the thought of you, the tomato plants, & the chickens! You got an extra cider? Cooper & I will give you a break. The chickens would probably terrify the poor dog.
  6. Open Original Shared Link The list is a little old but the companies that I have re-checked on still have the same policy.
  7. We need to add the list of companies with a policy of clearly labelling all types of gluten. Kraft, Con-Agra, etc. I always forget one when I try to tell people. I have this one: Open Original Shared Link Its not very up-to-date but I know have checked a few of these companies & this is still thier policy
  8. Look in the small print on the bottle for the Con-Agra. Hunts are Con-Agra products. Con-Agra will clearly disclose any type of gluten. that is thier policy. ' That said, vinegar in the US is not a gluten concern. (unless its malt)
  9. Is sounds like it could be Celiac. What did your Celiac blood tests show? They usually do those before an endo. The damage is considered microscopic. They take samples ( biopsies) that are sent to a Patholgist to look at.
  10. Give her info from the experts. However, if she has been having some strokes, her ability to remember and understand may be impaired. Open Original Shared Link The gluten-free diet is a lifetime requirement. Eating any gluten, no matter how small an amount, can damage your intestine. This is true for anyone with the disease, including people who...
  11. Most men are just happy if you feed them almost anything!
  12. The best way to find that out would be to call them.
  13. In this cas, its the whole Sheraton corporate policy as well as the individual hotel. They can't charge an extra fee for service animals. Sheraton has been fined for doing that under the ADA. I didn't see anything about fridges. but they are the only ones I have found who charge if you have a medical need.
  14. I think these are not in the US?
  15. Could you post the info about that? Where did you learn this? Is this on the BRM website?
  16. From Gluten Intolerance Group FB : Open Letter to Alice Bast, Exec Director, NFCA May 12, 2012 Alice, NFCA needs to remove the Amber designation from the Dominos "gluten-free" pizza. It is not safe for anyone requiring a gluten-free diet for medical reasons. NFCA's reputation as a respected organization is suffering by giving a useless Amber designation...
  17. I eat them when I travel. They are a company that buys pre- packaged items and puts them together as a meal in a box. Which item do you object to? They usually have Crunchmaster crackers which are gluten-free. They come in little packs from Crunchmasters. They do package some non- gluten-free meals, so you need to look on the top left hand corner for...
  18. Can you give an address? Is it by the Braddock Rd Metro station?
  19. I don't worry about my posts...I can see how they turn out. It's the emails! I send them and who knows what that red squiggle is doing in transit!
  20. Good thinking! I didn't want you to give up a chance at a company that seems to be growing ( Cabelas) with a company with problems. I wish we still had Blockbusters here. I hate those stupid boxes at the grocery to get videos.
  21. I doubt the pics he gave you would show flattened villa. That is at a microscopic level. The usual endo or colonoscopy photos aren't at that level. They are more of what you would see with your eyes if you could see in there. Since we can't see them and aren't the doc that did them, it would be best to ask the GI.
  22. They give you pics of bad spots, if there are any. Otherwise, they give you pics of the healthy intestine walls. Celiac is diagnosed by biopsy at the microscopic level. Just looking could tell you something is wrong but only if it's very bad. I bet you could google endoscopy and find pics of healthy ones. if the pics are well done and printed well, It...
  23. That's great! I don't know how to say this nicely but. Blockbuster was a failing company that closed its store here. Just be careful. Maybe a little research?

Some thoughts: If they have never gotten an order right pre- gluten-free, how would you expect them to get it right now? (Appleby's is an example for me) Are they very busy ? Do they have a lot of teens or a high turn- over of wait staff & kitchen staff? ( never see the same waiter twice or always has a help wanted sign, etc) Is most of...
