  1. ]] Was wondering about this, too? Wonder how Ray-shell's "dinner sucks" meeting went... Ray-shell!
  2. In the US. most sausage doesn't contain gluten. I have never seen a regular grocery store that makes its own sausage at the store. The stores around here do sell sausages but they are made elsewhere. Meat is cut behind the meat counter. I would think if you were worried about a crumb, wash it. Might not work for ground meat. You could ask at your...
  3. We have an adapter thing so you can plug in anything you plug in the wall. The adapter plugs into the cigarette lighter. The boys can plug in a TV and an Xbox with it. I think we would put the crock pot in a cardboard box & not fill it too full. If M & Hub really want chili when they get somewhere, they will build a box that fits for it!
  4. On the FB page, people are cooking in thier cars on the way to vacation. I was reading them to hub, now he wants to do that, too! I said that would be hard. Most stuff starts smelling good hours before its ready to eat! It would be torture driving for 4 hours smelling something yummy!
  5. That's what I was thinking! Leave our corn tortillas alone!
  6. Saw this on my Facebook from Crockpot Girls. Thought it might be fun. Crock Pot Girls Love to "Crock" in our kitchens, but it is so easy to use "on the go" also! Where do you like to use your slow cooker besides your home? Another interesting question might be: have you used it for something really odd? Like an incubator for chicks or to clean...
  7. KiwiBrit, The reason they tell you not to eat dairy is that the villi that Celiac destroys is the part that digests the dairy. Usually, you would wait a few months then try the dairy. Many people, Celiac or not, don't digest it well but are helped by the Lactaid type pills. It could turn out that you just don't do well with diary, but its a bit early...
  8. Thanks for the update. Sounds like good medication for both human and dog. Hope he's better in the morning.
  9. You haven't come back to report. I'm getting worried! I hope your doggie friend is OK.
  10. GFM - Thanks for starting this! Bored this afternoon? That took some time to accumulate!
  11. Here's where Love's recipes are!
  12. Some people always seem to turn every thread into a recipe thread! Google in the upper right corner. We have had some good pizza crust recipes.

I have to say Celiac.com. (don't I? ) Also love Open Original Shared Link Lots of gluten free crockpot recipes. Her daughter has Celiac.
  14. Sorry. I just saw this. I felt tired until my iron levels got better and as a result my platelets went back to normal. You may be deficient of various vitamins which could take awhile. Did the doctor test you for those deficiencies? I also was extra tired the first month or 2 . I think I was healing and that can make you tired.
  15. You may certainly post helpful links. As long as you aren't posting your own site which is like posting a business advertisement.
  16. I love the creamers but I can't get them anymore. I use more than a "serving" in my coffee and the calories add up the way I Over-use it!
  17. Isn't it great to go somewhere that is safe & easy. Where no one looks at you wierd if you say I can't have corn, they just try to help.
  18. Yes! maybe you should go to this beach thing. Get her some rum punch then take her out to your pirate ship to walk the plank! Cooper speaks pirate: : Arrrrf!
  19. Your food issues are not why you can't go. Your hub is committed to work that he can't get out of. Don't even bring the food or you into why you can't go.
  20. Just treat it that way then. I thought, since you leave near beaches, she would choose Maryland or North Carolina. He can explain to the relatives what happened & why he can't be there so they know you all aren't just being rude. Tell them money is tight to spend on plane tickets, hotel, etc. Don't even bring the food into the discussions.
  21. Not sure why but I started thinking about this while I was in the shower. Maybe all the family members that are "attending" haven't agreed yet. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I am imaging them on thier forums: Uncle Bill on his Ford truck forum : "My sister made a reservation for a cabin & expects me & the kids to spend...
  22. I thought if I try this, I would add the extras & maybe the guys at my house would like it better. There was a similiar one where they saute onions in olive oil in th bottom of the pan, then put the dough on top & sprinkle fresh rosemary and olive oil on before cooking.
  23. I compared your first recipe to this. They are the same ingredients except this new one doesn't list the salt. I thought maybe we could fix the first one but it looks OK. Cook on!
  24. I haven't tried this but it looked good. I posted the whole recipe because when I went back to get the other recipe from the newspaper, the link was gone. The link has a nice picture. Open Original Shared Link In much of Italy a farinata is a thick porridge made with vegetables, broth, and finely ground flour of one sort or another. Liguria's farinata...
