    ARCHIVED P.f. Chang's

I have had great luck eating there. I have eaten at 3 different ones around the country. One thing I noticed, even the bus boy & the hostess has heard of gluten free. Sure, mistakes can be made. But PF Changs has put into place corporate policies that really minimize the mistakes. This appears to be a well run company. They check-up on the resturaunts...
  2. Play Dough is made with wheat flour, They are very open about that. I don't eat the Play Dough like some small kids do but I won't use it. Everytime I have played with Play Dough (a great product, just not for Celiacs) I get it under my nails & I worry that I can't wash it out well. It seems to show up for the next few hours - apiece in my long hair...
  3. Just curious, why do you grind popcorn? Or is that just an example of how strong it is?
  4. HA ha very funny...

actually I just came online! had to dash earlier...was late picking up my son! 17 blocks to shcool 17 back..then I was tired...then I just got busy! its now 10;45 CALIF. time and I thought I'd take a quick peak before I turned of the computer and....SUPRISE!!! LOL

  5. These companies are not testing to see if a wheat derived ingredient is below some magic number ( there is no legal number). That would be too expensive just so they don't have to list an ingredient as derived from gluten grain. It's not like it would give them millions more consumers. They are just saying that if an ingredient comes from a gluten grain...
  6. Thank you Peter! We Psilly people have figured it out!
  7. Now we just need Twinks to wake up and flip her computer!
  8. Not sure if homeowners or car insurance pay for damage caused by falling space debris.
  9. Cougie, I have gotten all 238 messages from you and the friending! My notifications of messages finally disappeared, too. Life is good. Maybe Twinks computers on the other side of the world don't work well upside down? Maybe she has to flip it?
  10. No sneaking required. Sorta takes the fun out of it.
  11. That's not messaging, nor is it very private. It's just supposed to be a brief " Hello"
  12. You got my message and I got yours. Did you send the messages the same way I did? If so, that is probably all I know to do. Maybe someone else knows?
  13. Cougie, I sent you a private msg. I clicked on you cute kitty pic then the send me a msg under your pick on the profile. Then i have to scroll up to see the message box. You may need to refresh your page to get the message. It should show up as a number in the top right corner of your forum page ( where your pic is & it says sign out. See if it works...
  14. Is that a used machine? It could have crumbs in the cracks from gluten bread. Not sure what it's like so I don't know how easy it is to clean thoroughly.
  15. These sound great! Let me know how they come out. I think these might make a great appetizers, too. Just waiting for the satellite to fall! Hope everyone is wearing thier helmets!
  16. He's Max! Sounds great! I'll eat Max's and bring him some gluten-free pizza. Matt loves stuff in a taco shell. He will be over on gordita night.
  17. I made an Asian style sirloin & put it in a stir with rice & some pineapple this week. R & M loved it! I think even picky J would have liked it. What did you do? I put some Tamari, little sugar, red wine, garlic, pineapple juice & black pepper & marinated about an hour. Then cooked it & set it & the juice it made aside. Cooked...
  18. Can you get Greens Dubble Dark? I think that's the name. I think it would be good to cook with.

  20. Pringles have Wheat in them! I just checked the ones in the little packs that my son has!
  21. I'm one who deals with low sodium for my hub & mom. What is low sodium for most, isn't for them. But the fact that there is an awareness, helps me find things with no salt or a bunch less. I think that having the gluten-free law will help with the awareness & labeling. Right now, really, except for Celiac/ gluten intolerance & their families...
  22. I'm sorry Shauna, but I don't understand why you want to argue with this. You have repeatedly expressed that most things that should be gluten-free are not. You mention plain fruits, veggies, meat, grains as all having gluten in them that bothers you. These are not the foods that would be tested & declared gluten-free. As a super-sensitive, I can...
  23. With a jury of your peers (Celiacs), I'm sure it would be self-defense! I hate when docs say one thing to you and put something else in the record!
  24. There could be something in it, like an artificial flavor ar sweetener that disagrees with you. But they would not be gluten free if they put gluten in the yogurt. If they are "certified gluten-free" they must know that the flavorings they use are gluten-free.
