  1. Please note: This product guide appears to be 6 years old. Products change constantly. While some may still be gluten-free many ingredients and manufacturing practices have changed since 2005. For example, Chex gluten-free cereals would not be listed on something from that time. Reading ingredients is more helpful. In the US and Canada, wheat will...
  2. Put the fruit on sticks with marshmallows between each fruit? gluten-free graham crackers dipped in melted chocolate & colored sprinkles? Same with gluten-free pretzels?
  3. Just to clarify: MSG does not contain gluten. The "G" is glutamate which sounds like gluten but it's not. Many people prefer to avoid MSG because they feel it isn't healthy or have a reaction to it other than gluten.
  4. Not sure what this has to do with normal BBQing. Most use charcoal or gas.
  5. Maybe post the recipes in the baking thread? Loey's Gluten Free Chocolate Marijuana Brownies Loey's Gluten Magic Free Blueberry Muffins

    ARCHIVED Was I Wrong?

I do stuff like that if I'm around when they are fixing gluteny food. I just say, "this way, if I goof up, I'm making myself sick and it can't be your fault.". Your mom probably just reminded him right before you came in!
  7. Most of us use dishes out of the dishwasher in mixed houses. You don't want to use something really scratched or like a colander, that you can't get the pasta out of the holes properly. You do need a separate toaster, jams, PB, butter tub, etc. Things that people put the knife in, touch the bread & get some more ( leaving crumbs in the jars).
  8. Call or email the companies. I thought I saw that OPI was gluten-free but check to be sure? Can you wear gloves?
  9. Many cities have gluten-free bakers. Google " City gluten free". And see if any turn up. I can understand why the baker might not want to attempt gluten-free. Her kitchen & pans would not be safe. She couldn't make a really gluten-free cake. Maybe she would ice & decorate one that you made?
  10. I have my glasses on. I usually read under them. I looked at this post and the bottom glasses frame was over the "save for school" and I read it as "save for alcohol". Either is a worthy cause!
  11. We bought a new grate and don't use gluten Teryaki or toast buns anymore. When we used the grill at a hotel, we got a metal tray thing that people use to cook veggies or fish on. It sits on top of the dirty grill but does have some holes. Works great for pork chops that would not squish thru the holes and touch the dirty grill. If your grates fit...
  12. Well..that exhausted me! I went to PF Changs! Actually, it was kind of hot to cook today! 86 and humidity is up. Lots of clouds but no rain.
  13. You download chicken stories like "Chicken Little" and read bedtime stories to the chickies.
  14. We have 2 different colored sponges. Blue is for gluten. Pink/lavender/any color but blue (hard to always find pink) for gluten-free. You could put you gluten-free sponge away on a plate in the cabinet or in your room when not in use. Or even set it so its not the closest, easiest to grab sponge to the sink.
  15. I think I said it a good thing you haven't married or had kids. Just like everyone else said. It's good you found this out now. You can make an informed decision. And, if he expected you to visit a person who has said she will hurt you, I would suggest divorce. But sounds like he might be cool with cutting ties with her and keeping you safe. Or at...
  16. Why are you in this evil person's house? If she told her friend she was going to stab you while you are sleeping, would you stay there? Would you even go for an hour visit? Please do not have children with this guy. He may be OK but his mother isn't. And if she has a husband, he isn't good either. Your children would never be safe around her. Your...
  17. I think you are saying that they taste too sweet? Maybe make your own & adjust the sweet? You could probably freeze it in little bits tohave some fresh next week. All this talk about Ketchup has made me crave some! I just had to throw a few Ore-Ida fries in the oven!
  18. Not sure about the self-confidence - I think I'm just too busy feeling better to care!
  19. There are some good refried beans in cans that are mostly just beans and salt. I love them What about potatoes? Quinoa? You make it like rice and can put veggies, beans, etc in it. Frozen veggies. Corn pasta and sauce. Cheese? Baked potato with cheese melted on it. Sweet potatoes? Can bake them like a regular potato. I like to boil 1 for about...
  20. Are there any ladies more his age who talk with him? Maybe one or more would tell him to lay off. Or make enough fun of the goat that he would stop. Otherwise, I think I would tell him "I'm happy to be friends but this "give me a kiss" and other attention bothers me. You need to stop." I would say it clearly & loudly, maybe with a witness. If...
  21. Looking at that diner, it is kinda funny if someone really thought they could get gluten free food. I don't think it would be safe to get a glass of water or a Coke there!
  22. Me too!
  23. My niece is a journalism major. She has to write an article about the HPV vaccine. She needs a quote from someone who has vaccinated a boy. It's hard to find a boy because insurance won't pay for it. Anyway, If any of you know someone who would talk to her pm me. I'm going to ask around the neighborhood. Not trying to start a debate.
  24. my sister and one of my boys had a weird scaly itchy place on their arms. Athletes foot spray worked for one and Head and Shoulders for another. I think you have to see if something works,& if it doesn't, try something else.
