  1. What if, instead of covering with plain pasta sauce, you made some with meat - either Ital sausage or hamburger? I'm going to try this. But I don't think I will put the white sauce on the bottom. I'll just use a little extra red sauce for the bottom. Too lazy to make the white sauce and might save a few calories.
  2. Give them a brief list of symptoms & your experience with your docs. The key word is brief! I got a very brief response, sort of a yes or no answer. But my answer was no Celiac so maybe they would give more if its a yes. There is no charge but they did ask me for a donation, which I did. Its not neccsary, however. With my diagnosis of Celiac, we...
  3. I know... I used to get the frozens ones and melt cheddar cheese on them. Yum! Did you use the Google fnction on here? There are several recipes ans I think someone found a brand of frozen ones, if they are available where you live. I found this one but there are several other threads.
  4. You can get a Celic blood test at your regular doctor's . If you are gluten free, the result should be negative, even if you have Celiac. If you want the blood test, you need to keep eating gluten.
  5. I used the email. I emailed the actual copies of my kids labs ( they want the actual copies in case you re- type them wrong). I got a response within a day or two. However, the doctor that reads them was visiting his family in Italy so it was a few weeks until he got back. But they told me that.
  6. I have done that, too! Just thaw them & get the water out. That's how I make quiche crust.
  7. You should probably check into whether he can even go to the school with positive TB? Used to be, he would have to have the "home school" version of school. When he is allowed back at school, you may ask for the school counselors to talk to the kids. They will all have to be tested for TB and might be mad about that. Not sure what the current thinking...
  8. I quiche or frittata? You got any potatoes or frozen hash browns? They make a good quiche crust. Bacon or ham or spinach to add? This is flexible. I didn't use ham but used the sausage. I did extra red peppers to make up for the missing ham. they could be more eggy. I think you could add another egg or maybe two. Hand Held Hashbrown Casseroles...
  9. CheezIts. I found some crackers that were not entirely unlike CheezIts. They had about the right texture but were lacking that disgustingly wonderful orange fake cheesy flavor!
  10. Take on a 4th paying job? Go out to play with your friends? Go shoe shopping? Make more yucky vegan dinners? (this is his real worry! ) Have an affair? Go bowling? Sit on the couch, eating bon bons & watching daytime TV? Come on C.com & gab? I really need to get off of here and go get Jess's recipe for ham & bean soup in...
  11. Love the ringtones. Shall put the "mom" one on my boys phones!
  12. I also like Rondele or Alouette which are basically flavored cream cheeses for crackers. Almond butter, hummus or Sunnut butter(sunflower seed).
  13. Jalapeno Popper Dip Ingredients: 1 8 oz package non- fat cream cheese 4 oz can chipotles in adobo sauce (chop and remove seeds) 4 oz can chopped green chiles
  14. The only problem with the Boars Head is if it's cut on the same cutters as something with gluten. Some of the previous meat gets stuck on the cutter.
  15. One of my kids loves an "Italian" sub: On both sides: Pasta or pizza sauce on the bread- Pepperoni Ham cover with mozzarella Bake in the oven until cheese is melted. You could probably look on line at a sub shop menu to get ideas. Or Spread flavored cream cheese on both sides ( Aloutte is one brand). This helps keep the bread from being...

  17. We expect a 500 word book review in 1 week, young lady.
  18. Maybe a wee bit more....just to help you sleep?
  19. It's OK to have a few mushy places! I'm sure you are a rock when it counts.
  20. I have a spicy hot cheese dip. Really good with tortilla chips and, for some reason, carrots. Probably good on crackers. Is that what you are looking for? I have to get it off the other computer tomorrow. Are you trying to make the bread or pasta? We have had some recipes posted for that. Or do you just want different " toppings" for the purchase...
  21. This is an international forum. You might google and see if there are any support groups in your area. If no one has chosen to answer then maybe no one currently has found a doc in the area.
  22. I think the bathroom and the laundry might be enough. A clean kitchen is important to you. Plus, you don't want to look like a spiteful child. You need to act like a mature mom. If he wants to know which detergent to use or if he should use hot water, be gracious and tell him. Just as you would do if you were teaching the kids. Maybe get him his own...
  23. Don't do his laundry! Make sure he has his own basket. You might still do the bed sheets & towels, or just wash your towels. When he looked at the Halloween decs and said that, I would have looked at him like he was nuts. Maybe suggested he finish it while you get the dinner & help Maddie with her homework. Then walk away. No discussion. ...
  24. Good question! Come lay on Dr. Jess's couch and have a pickle!
  25. I think there is a story to that one!
