  1. I don't know much about the genetics of Celiac. From what I have gathered from people in the genetic world, they look for 2 different genes. Each parent gives us a copy of that gene so they are really looking for 4 gene pieces. The presence of 1 is enough for you to someday, maybe develop Celiac. If you have 2 matching pairs, maybe he thinks your chances...
  2. Congrats! My hub still gives Cooper (dog pictured)a Milk Bone at bedtime. I give him Rice Chex. He loves them & they are low cal, low fat, etc. We like to throw them & watch them bounce off his big nose. Ane we really need a pet forum topic!
  3. Forget the genes, let's look at the rest of this info. The first endo they screwed up and only took 1 sample? The sample showed Celiac's? The GI doc has a kid at an expensive college? (OK that part is just implied by the fact that he/she wants to do another endo for no reason). The small intestine is 16-20 feet long. It would be easy to take 10 samples...
  4. Amen, Sister!
  5. For the Queens pleasure: Open Original Shared Link i can't figure our how to put the cartoon on directly.
  6. What about the liquor store? Let's keep our priorities straight!
  7. If you are currently having issues when you show up at the court, you need to tell the clerk to tell the the judge about your bathroom needs. They will probaly send you home.
  8. This is the only one I know about. Open Original Shared Link

  12. He might not have been a chef at Florindos but may have done this in a previous job.
  13. Some of the other drugs are labelled. But like you said, watch because there are older packages that aren't labelled. I found the small size labelled gluten-free but no the larger size.
  14. Or done it at a previous resturaunt that he cooked at. However, Florindo's isn't going to want to say they let him cook because they are responsible for thier employess actions. It is thier fault if they didn't check on his work.
  15. Check the topic on here about the FB chef from yesterday.
  16. That sounds like a stomach virus. Sometimes its not gluten or soy or corn or..... its just a stomach bug. Try to suck on ice chips and don't put food in for a while. you need to keep hydrated and sucking on ice puts the water in slowly. You can ususally sneak it by.
  17. Sounds like you know what you need to do. He sees you not feeling well but tries to make you feel worse. Sounds abusive and controlling. If you don't feel good, you need him more. Or he's just a selfish jerk who doesn't notice anything but his own needs. Either way,..... I don't know what you have to do about the job/ business. If you own an interest...
  18. My silly lab has finally given up, after 2 years, making friends with the squirrels. He would walk out, nose down, tail wagging. The rude creatures would run away.
  19. LIked how he was hiding out in the Ozarks. I've been to that bar.
  20. Not our screen shots. The DA could subpoena from FB but its a bit hard to prosecute. I think the local paper doing a story is good & he has been reported to the Chef organization. This just posted on gluten-free girl FB: I understand why people are upset. But please take a big breath and remain calm. The owner of Florinda's said that Damien Cardone...
  21. Just checked his FB. He has tried to post a pic that shows he has private messages in the 100's. Looks like he took the post off. That's probably it for criminal prosecution if the DA hasn't seen it.
  22. Good job Loey! You made a chinchilla laugh. I actually looked up chinchilla rescue today. I always wanted one. I think it might not like my dog. My dog would like to be friends.
  23. This is from the Gluten free girl & the chef: Danny called Florinda's in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, the last restaurant where that awful chef worked. As soon as he said the name, the owner shouted, "Sir, he has not worked here since March 15th!" Don't call them. It's not their fault. Just spoke with the Editor of the Glenwood Springs Newspaper...
  24. Actually, in all seriousness, Schizo has been linked to gluten issues. Here is one example. Open Original Shared Link
  25. It might be OK for a few weeks but it isn't really meant for a lifetime. There is an outbreak of some bad germ in a hospital from contaminated TPN feeding. Doesn't really work well. Tube feeding works better but I have heard that there might be gluten in some of the brands.
