  1. Sorry. I walked away from the computer and then thought, " fountain drink!". No ingredients. I would drink it. I think I probably have. I get iced tea and add some lemonade. I saw a list from Coke about a year ago, and it looked like every soft drink they made was on it as gluten-free. I'm going to see if I can find it. One thought: even these...
  2. What are the ingredients? That should give you a good idea. Its is most likely OK from a gluten standpoint.
  3. Just talked to hub. Told him BF thinks it's silly. He just shook his head and laughed. He said, " you aren't getting any, Buddy." My 15 & 18 year old boys are horrified that a boy would make his gluten-free sick. A good gluten-free is hard to come by. They would definitely brush their teeth, stand on their head and clap their feet and/or put on...
  4. I don't know how old you are. If he's 20 then I might get his reaction. He doesn't believe that a crumb will make you sick. Maybe you could get him some info about that fact. But, if he won't do this little thing for you....well, our funny ideas will work for your next dating prospect.
  5. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. Just saying...
  6. Good girl! Now, stick to it! If he loves you, he should want you healthy. But I remember you said he had some health issues he didn't take care of well. This may just be a bad match. Hang tough!
  7. Congrats on the weight loss! I see you have figured out the need to be gluten-free even without the gastric manifestations. I have some friends who have had the surgery and you can't eat a lot of carbs anyway.
  8. Potato gnochi? Do yo have a recipe? My old one had some flour in it.
  9. Actually, about 20 years ago, the hospital I worked at was doing endos & colonoscopies with valuim only. Glad you got this done and got a definite answer. Definite answer are great!
  10. Hub said if it's a bad date, just tell the guy he can take the bag home with him. My 18 year old son looked a bit horrified at the first kiss problem. One of the girls he liked a while back had Celiac. Should I ask him his advice?
  11. My hub said do what they do in Annie Hall - get the goodnight kiss out of the way at the beginning of the date. He thinks you should present your date with a pretty gift bag with a toothbrush & toothpaste.
  12. That's perfect! "Joe, we need to have a Talk about safe kissing. Until someone invents lip condoms, you need to brush, floss, rinse well."
  13. Hopefully, if he is your boyfriend, you can talk about this. You could try a funny approach. We will not be swapping spito, chewing gum or crumbs. Really, you should wait until your married. Lol
  14. As a diagnosed Celiac, I am not upset if you choose to eat gluten-free because it makes you feel better. I agree with the gluten sensitive label. I'm not offended by lying & letting people think you are diagnosed to make it easier. Really, what business is it of most people, how you were diagnosed. Don't we all know people who say a certain food...
  15. Ditto. I try to find out what they are serving and bring something similar if possible. Then I borrow the microwave or I take mine hot and put it in a small cooler if we are eating soon after arriving. If it's a help yourself & stand around type of party, I just eat first and stick something really good (Snickers), that I don't eat often in my purse...
  16. I Use Gates. Called the corporate office and talked to one of the Gates family. They don't say gluten-free on them though. You might be able to get that where you live.
  17. This is a wonderful item for a queen! A budding star!

  23. Think that guy has a hoarding issue? The zoo wasn't quite that bad. Once the screaming parents got out, there were alot of the little buggers. J didn't want to go to another part of the zoo but we had to exercise the Red Kangaroos. They liked to jump over baby strollers or be chased by little kids. They would wait until he could catch up then hop...
  24. So cute! Years ago, our zoo had a little building with a climbable rock wall inside. It waas caged. They tried to keep about 10 chinchillas in it. You had to go in the double doors & close them quickly because you can't keep a chinchilla in a regular caging material. They would run around in the building. J was about 1 1/2 & in a little...
