  1. I am hoping the DA where he lives will at least scare him a bit. He had purposefully hurt people, which is either assault or battery depending on the way the laws are written in Colorado.
  2. I can't really point you in a diet direction but .... If you add a bit of jumping & skipping to the spinning, it can be a very good exercise.
  3. Real, serious poetry. We have had some poetry on the Tickle me thread but its more along the lines of: There once was a woman from Nantucket, Who upchucked in a bucket....
  4. I find HyVee has a lot of gluten-free stuff. But it still seems like I have to go to both because one has something the other doesn't.
  5. Hi! I live in KC, too! Johnson County, KS. I think CFS & fibromyalgia are popular diagnoses in this area. Hope you get it figured out.
  6. Be polite & friendly & call first. Your just talking to a clerical worker. Give them a day to do it. They could charge you for the copies but usually doctor offices don't. You can always tell them you were told by another doctor to bring them to your appointment (OB/GYN works well for this). Let me know if you have a problem - message me.
  7. Are we sure the scale is right? I had a baby weighed at his 1 week appt down 11/2 pounds. The doc said " that's horrible. " then she looked at him and said, " he doesn't look like he lost weight". Tried a different scale & he had gained the 1 1/2 pounds. Do you look like you gained that much? What you have posted previously as eating had me worried...
  8. Looking at the Pizza places website, doesn't look like they have a place in Glenwood Springs any longer or ever.
  9. That mention was from 2007. Probably doesn't work there anymore but it wouldn't hurt to shoot thier corporate office a copy of his post.
  10. I have something in mind to try to stop him. If we leave a bunch of messages, he will know he might be in trouble and delete the post. I need that post to stay on because it will be a big hassle to subpeona deleted posts from FB and it probably not go anywhere.
  11. I know it frustrating. She is only 3 so her control of bodily functions is new and not perfect yet. The muscles aren't as strong as they will be. My boys had potty problems when they felt sick or allergies kicked in - nothing to do with celiac disease. So feeling bad may make it even harder or lower on her priority list. Hang in there Mom! She will...
  12. Will the nurses or aides microwave in the breakroom for you? You could make some chicken & rice soup (or at our house its less soup more chicken & rice & cooked carots). A cooked hamburger to re-heat. Maybe some applesauce? Some noodles cooked in chicken or beef broth? Rice Chex straight from the box. Do you have someone to bring food for...
  13. I live by you! I usually go to the WF on 119 th just for bread. I go to Hy Vee on Stateline or 135 th & Antioch for most stuff. Target, Walmart & Hen House have a few things like pasta to grab while I'm there. I just saw that Minsky's is doing gluten-free pizza but I haven't quizzed them yet on topping procedures.
  14. I agree with Shroomie. 6 total biopsies taken from different places. The part about the Celiac diagnosis was the pre- procedure diagnosis the doctor gave as a reason for the procedures. If that was the only diagnosis given the insurance company, they should not have approved a colonoscopy. Just show they don't get it either. You will need to write...
  15. Sometimes 3 minutes. Sometimes a week. Earlier, for tonight I thought I would make pasta. But everyone snacked all afternoon in the school vans on the way home and aren't hungry. This happens to me a lot. I give up! I surrender! I will only plan for myself! The rest of you - Fend for yourself & keep your hands off my gluten-free pizza crusts and...
  16. I think these are the ones I have. Called Toast It. Invented years ago, before microwaves in every dorm room. Used to re-heat pizza in the toaster or make veiled cheese. Good way to keep the toast clean. Open Original Shared Link
  17. I guess I didn't explain it well. It isn't that he lost. That's disappointing. he played on a football team that didn't win but as long as he did his best, he was happy. This is more the realization that something he has given his heart, soul, & a lot of free time to, is over. This has been his passion for 6 years. He had hoped to win so he could...
  18. When I was posting I thought, " Em & Sophie will know how we feel.". He is better. He is drinking a $5 Mt Dew and eating $3 peanut M&Ms. When he was little, we called it "the chocolate cure".
  19. Warning: very unpsilly stuff ahead! We were eliminated. Our robot did OK but not as well as it should have in the last rounds. That's probably the hardest part for J to take- his last robotics match and he didn't do his best. Glad hub was here, I couldn't talk to J without crying. It's really hard to see your big strong son in tears. The 2 girls on...
  20. Our robotics team is moving on to the elimination rounds! Got some really stiff competition.

    ARCHIVED Snacks

I found Sargento cheddar cheese in little sticks & wrapped if you get tired of the mozzarella. You could also just cut up cheese slices and keep in a baggie to eat at anytime. What about pb on celery or apple? Or toast?
  22. My kids were like 11 & 14 when they watched it & said it was scary. The webcast wasn't working this morning I'm told. Hope it works this afternoon
