  1. Worse...can you image the kids' reaction?
  2. I was trying to say that I thought Em would paint a tasteful nude self portrait.
  3. Sure. We got a new grate to cook on - kept the grill. We have a standard grill so you can get the replacement parts at any hardware store & maybe Walmart. Put down foil if you can't change it. Seems like no matter how hard you scrape & wash them, they never get clean.
  4. I have tried 3 times to add a comment and it dissappears. Hello! Does anyone hear me?
  5. Thanks for the warning. A lot of these flavored alcohol drinks have malt.
  6. It was supposed to vegs. The iPad kept changing it & I thought I fixed it. That sneaky little computer!
  7. I hope he bsue sued more than your stomach. Look around on here. We have had several threads of low cost gluten-free and what's for dinner. A food doesn't have to be labelled gluten-free. Things like rice, beans, frozen vets, Chex cereal, corn tortillas, meats etc are gluten-free.
  8. This was a hard habit to break for me when making gluttony PB&J for kid. Today I almost ate the blob of jelly that fell off the bread. What helps is that I don't lick the spoon or scrape off the plate or the knife even for my own jar of PB to break the habit.
  9. I thought that the "PT waiter" could be a CYA statment. But, according to his FB, he was trying to establish himself as a private chef. He may have taken a part time job to make ends meet. His comments about Valentines Day could be as a waiter or cook. The pics of him in the commercial kitchen could be older, from another place. I don't think we should...
  10. Interesting. Could it have anything to do with ethnicity and economic conditions? Before someone jumps on me, I know any ethnicity can have celiac disease or intolerance or homeschool. I have seen something that it may be more prevalent in European descent. Economically better off people in the US are more likely to have insurance and seek out medical...
  11. FYI. This is a 6 year old thread. New people to the forum sometimes don't realize they should check the dates on the posts. Not important on this thread but product info, medical info, etc might be outdated.
  12. So funny! Hub & I are imaging a big tough cat chased by a chicken. Cooper would be running away, too.
  13. I don't understand the way Internet ads work. I think they sometimes come on from other magical web places. Papa Murphy is a take and bake at home place. The one by us does have an oven because they will bake them for you for and extra buck or two.
  14. I think, since he is already there, the endo won't cost so much. You are already paying for everything for the colonoscopy. I would make sure he takes 6-8 biopsies or it will be a waste. You may still want to get the blood work. The small intestine is very long (16-20ft). It is possible for 30% of it to be damaged and causing you trouble. Biopsies...
  15. I got this response about the labeling the barley Medley as gluten free. This carelessness with labeling, makes me scared about what other things they might be careless about. Too bad. It looked like some convenient and interesting foods. Hi Karen, I was able to find out the mistake with Barley Medley.

    ARCHIVED General Surgeon Or Gi?

Have you asked him what he would do? Number of biopsies? Will he biopsy even if the intestine looks Ok? Will he just do one because you ask? Or did you have another doc refer you for one? These might give you some idea if he knows what he is doing.
  17. I guess we won't be seeing much of you for awhile!
  18. Heard about this company. The website lists thier gluten free products and has Zany Multigrain with cracked wheat as gluten-free. Also, someone posted a pic of a product called Barley Medley. The first ingredient is barley & the package is labelled gluten free. I wrote the company and got this repsonse. She noticed it on Friday because someone...
  19. Going to be quiet at your house, Leesa!
  20. I will try these. I like to make a salad with grilled corn, chicken, whatever and use salsa for a very low- cal dressing.
  21. Some Chevys seem to be owned by different people. I have heard there are some in Missouri that have a gluten-free menu but it wasn' t companywide. The above link is for the ones in Missouri. They have a separate owner or franchisee. You can't expect every Chevy's to honor that if it's not a corporate wide policy. Some may choose for legal, cost or...
  22. Remember these? The Bradford pear trees? They are starting to bloom!
