  1. T can't answer. He/ she went without us!
  2. I have a feeling the person who started this post and some similar posts and comments might have something to sell, either a product or this website which asks for donations.
  3. Are your parents paying for your school? I know you are an adult but sometimes a parent's complaints are heard better. Also, do you have a law school on campus? Or a lawyer in the family? The threat of a law suit can snap a business into action. Even if your uncle is only a will and trust attorney. A letter could still be scary. In the mean time,...
  4. I realize she must have a lot of employees to help with recipes and all the other stuff. I know it can't possibly all be her ideas. I would have hoped she would know enough to say , " oh, I'm sorry you can't have that.". She still has a lot of great recipes and decorating ideas. Maybe the daughter or friend are the " take the croutons off the salad"...
  5. Can we come with you? Just try something that looks good. ( or 2 or 3 somethings).
  6. Wonder who made the recipe. Saw Martha on the View last week and she has no clue what gluten-free is. She asked Elizabeth why she didn't have any of the strawberry shortcake Martha brought. E said I'm gluten-free. Martha said she could just eat the strawberries and whipped cream off the cake.
  7. We had Pacific Foods Southwest Veg last night. It wasn't as good as homemade, but still pretty tasty. Comes in a "paper box" ( like a juice box). Labelled gluten-free, no Msg, no soy. Got it at Target but have seen it at the regular grocery.
  8. I'm having the one with the orange on it and in a wine glass. Delicious! Has quite a kick to it! Cheers!
  9. You can walk with Patti & me for coffee/tea! My "brillant" J is at Frisbee Club in the pouring rain at 38 degrees. There are at least 4 National Merit Scholars out in the rain, too. Not smart enough to come in out of the rain?
  10. I have a horrible problem with Fritos. I cannot stop eating them! I have found Lays stax at Target & Walmart in Kansas City area.
  11. I have had the corn chowder one and liked it. General Mills owns them and they are really trying to get into the gluten-free business.
  12. Patti & I will stroll to Starbucks for our exercise.
  13. Wow! Looks great! I lived there about 20 years ago. Trying to picture what used to be in that space.
  14. Maybe he would be more receptive if you were diagnosed. Otherwise, offer to cook but watch out for all the cc'ed stuff in his kitchen. Don't rinse your pasta or grapes in his colander, for example. Don't use the same PB, jelly, etc. Get some colored tape to put on your jar of pb so they don't get crumbs in it.
  15. Anyone else in your family that will be there that you can explain cc to and will have your back? Not your Hub (he is an interloper) but someone related to your mom. I would just bring all your own food in your own containers and keep an eye on it the whole time. You don't want someone to be "helpful" and plate it for you if they don't understand...
  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESS! Any cake left?
  17. I used the FAQ sheet from U of Chicago to help explain to my doc why I needed a bone density. If they asked your doc to do it, would they? My kids doc didn't understand their blood test results and said to check with U of C. He would order anything they wanted.
  18. More animals in KC news! J (17 yr old son for you newbies) was mountain biking and almost got hit by a deer. Maybe cause he rode through the males deer's harem? Also: 9:47 here
  19. If you look at the web site they have several opportunities to donate.
  20. Wow! We got a new Judy! Her name is Judy3 but really isn't she number 2? G F needs more D! That's easy to fix. Judee# 2, we had a lab Shepard mix dog. In the spring, when she shed her heavy winter coat, we measured the fur combed out: hamster, Guinea pig, rabbit, Llasa Apso
  21. Woah! Something wierd is going on! Our Supreme Celiac Board Leader, Scott, just responded to a 5 year old post! What is happening?
  22. I eat Eddys all the time based on what the ingredients are. Obviously, no cookie dough or Oreo. We really like the frozen yogurt Cappacino Chip.
  23. There is so much in that article that doesn't make sense.
  24. Used to have a rabbit that would open his cage door. The cage was on a table, so he had about 3-4 inches of table when he got out. He would then hop on top of the cage and wait for me to get home and feed him. Several neighbors dogs get out of thier yards and come sit on my front porch. Just like Carla's bird, they were bored but didn't really want...
