  1. Could be... I have had wine this week... so that explains why I am not on the leaderboard for this week!
  2. That's just the week. See - week is underlined. Cycles has 42 for a week! Irene has 15 this week. Sorry, but you mustn't have had 15, so you didn't make it to the week totals! IF you click month - it changes to the top 4 for the month. Like I said - I am not sure if that is calendar month or 28 days. Edit - that is exactly...
  3. Looking at it on my iPad, it seems fine. For me, the " week" is underlined and then it says people and how many they had for the week. If I change it( click on) to month, the names and numbers change. But I didn't actually count how many each person had for the week, month, year, etc..... So maybe you are saying the numbers are wrong? Did you count posts...
  4. I think it depends on what state you live in? Call the different labs and ask.
  5. How do you know it's maltodextrin? Are you able to find some to eat by itself? I would think it would be hard to isolate from all the other ingredients in foods. Even if it does bother you, that doesn't mean it contains gluten. I have a problem with aspartame similar to gluten symptoms but I know it doesn't contain gluten. I figured it out because...
  6. Just answering the basic question about non stick cooking spray - I have never seen a PLAIN cooking spray with gluten. DO NO USE The BAKING SPRAYs! Read the ingredients. The baking ones with say they have oil and flour. Those are not the normal ones you use to cook chicken or potatoes.
  7. this sounds like a sudden onset illness not an intolerance or Celiac. Perhaps she has a stomach virus or appendicitis? Maybe she should see a doctor? If she isn't keeping anything in, she could be dehydrated.
  8. Are you saying that the doctors at Mayo Clinic diagnosed him with Celiac but didn't tell you? You just saw it when looking at his records? If that is the case, I would call them back and make a big fuss.
  9. telling us what country you are in might help. I think you can get gluten-free soy burger and other veggie burgers in the US.
  10. I agree with this. Well said! Some shared facilities are even separate buildings in the same complex
  11. Are you on Facebook? Sometimes you get better responses there
  12. What ingredient has changed? I just looked at the website and even the beer flavored one is gluten-free. They use hops but not actual beer. Have they stopped using the wheat free soy sauce?
  13. I have Celiac. It is not an allergy. But it is silly to give a waiter a long winded explanation. All they really want to know is if the cook needs to go to extra trouble to make my food safe. " Allergy" is a word they understand and often have a process to deal with. I just say that I have a medical need to be gluten-free. In the case of...
  14. Open Original Shared Link "Elevated liver enzymes are one of the extra-intestinal signs of celiac disease, so patients with elevated liver enzymes should be tested for it. If the enzyme increase was caused by celiac disease it should return to normal after following a strict gluten-free diet. If not, then you should seek another reason for the...
  15. Wow...I don't even know where to start.... I guess I will just say that - for those of you reading this comment, don't let one angry person be your source of info. The understanding of the gluten-free law is a bit off. First, it wasn't "changed" - we never had one before. The FDA has been investigating complaints on gluten-free foods...
  16. I have had it with no issues except I don't really like it. I had to add cheese! But I would get them in a pinch - like travelling.
  17. I just searched this site. We have had good comments about gluten-free at Razzis since 2010. that is a very good sign.
  18. are you on Facebook? Lots of cities have a FB page for gluten free.
  19. I have heard that there are a lot of good options in Seattle. My son is moving there this summer, so I look forward to finding some. I would love it if you would report back.. Try the "find Me Gluten free" site. I have had good luck. There are always stupid entries, like Pizza Hut, but I have found some gems that way. You can read reviews...
  20. I don't know why they wouldn't be gluten-free. What ingredient are you worried about?
  21. I know quite a few Celiacs that eat these with no issues. I am not much of a hot dog person, but I would eat them if I needed a hot dog. Most, if not all, hotdogs in the US are gluten-free.
  22. I don't know what your medical history is, what diseases you may have, etc. I doubt the tests run by a "functional med doc" are scientifically valid. It is possible to have problems with gluten, unrelated to Celiac. Things like FODMAPS, for example. Just aa its possible to have a thyroid disease, for example, that can raise the ttg in the absence of Celiac...
  23. A slightly elevated TTg can mean other things. "...common in patients who have other autoimmune conditions, such as chronic liver disease, Type 1 Diabetes, Crohn’s Disease or thyroiditis." Open Original Shared Link
  24. You live in a group home because of some health issue? Maybe the health issue is tied to gluten? I think there is a lot more to this basic question than it first appears.
  25. You are definitely describing Celiac symptoms. Why not get tested and see if that is your issue? That will tell you how careful you have to be and explain why you might not be a lot better after just 14 days?
