I use 1/2 a recipe of kneaded Chebes bread mix (cost's less than $3), rolled out thin, cut into rectangles or squares. I found a hot dog that has a natural skin with no gums or soy (Kayem brand) at BJ's. Wrap the Chebe's around the dogs and bake at 350 degrees for 20 or 25 minutes. Be prepared that your doctor may not want to order the blood test. I urge you to go in prepared to argue, even demand the test. Most GP's don't order it until a patient has constant diarreah. Brown rice cake spread with peanut butter, half a sliced banana & a drizzle of honey with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I like rice cakes with melted cheese on them too, but I usually over nuke them. Glad you're feeling good Skylark! -

Hi Lizzy, I'm undiagnosed. If you want to get diagnosed, schedule an endoscopy. When you meet with the GI, ask him/her to take multiple biopsies. Reinforce that with the head nurse at the surgery center or hospital the day of the procedure, as well as with the GI. I I'm just doing a multi-vitamin. I supplement that with a Calcium tab and D-3 drops. I make my own soup stocks in the pressure cooker or slow cooker. I have a weird craving for marrow bone. I think it's good for us. -

I tried crock pot chicken & dumplings today. The dumplings didn't brown after an hour on high. I ended up covering a cookie sheet with parchment paper and scooping the dumplings out of the crockpot. I wonder if adding a wee bit of corn starch (a no no for me) or arrowroot to the liquid you dip into before drenching would make the crumbs stick better? Oh! I just remembered! I don't toast mine, but I'm lazier than Rachel Ray. I've mainly used bread crumbs for salmon cakes (which are pan seared, so they get brown) or toppings for something I bake or pan fry. Try Chebe. I started a separate thread about kitchen gadgets about the holy pizza pan and Chebe. Cost per package is less than $3.00 and my non gluten-free DP loves it. It is really good, and pretty easy to whip out. Chebe gets an "A" in my book. It's thin, has some flex. I don't know why that flex is important, but it is. -
