  1. It depends on the brand. Garnier Fructis hair products are gluten-free so their hairspray is fine. As far as the spray tan, you'd have to check the ingredients.
  2. Unfortunately, you need to keep ingesting gluten to ensure an accurate test.
  3. The spray numbs your throat. My doctor was going to skip it with me but I have such a ridiculous gag reflex — yawning sets it off — that I asked for it. It tastes a little like rotten bananas and goes away quickly. But I realize now that I was so out of it, I wasn't about to be gagging on the tube anyway.
  4. Have you tried dropping dairy? That can be a killer especially in the beginning. I had to drop it after it started causing some abdominal pain and bloating
  5. Three Musketeers are safe if you can handle dairy and soy.
  6. It's also commonly associated with a magnesium deficiency. Have you had all your vitamin levels checked?
  7. It doesn't hurt a bit. They give you cold medication like drugs that make you sleepy
  8. Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla
  9. Did he understand that you were gluten-free and that you had already previously been diagnosed by blood test and biopsy? I'm not quite sure I understand why you got positive tests, went on the diet, and then had the tests re-done despite knowing that being gluten-free would offer questionable validity.
  10. In the United States, maltodextrin is safe so you can cross that off your no-no list.
  11. Also: stress. If I get to ramped up over a period of time, I start shedding like a cat. But definitely rule out the medical stuff first.
  12. Your second tests came back negative because you were on the diet. Your first tests were positive because you were still consuming gluten. You have Celiac Disease.
  13. My cartons of Silk Almond Milk say they "may" contain coconut products which can be a pretty potent laxative in some. Have you ever eaten coconut regularly?
  14. There was a Tylenol recall announced this week but I don't know if the pills could actually make someone sick. I think there was a cleaning issue at the plant. Seems like a long shot but just throwing it out there.
  15. Have you tried eliminating other foods? Dairy? Soy? Corn?
  16. Miralax is gluten free and is absolutely not habit forming. It's an osmotic which means it just pushes extra water into the intestines to soften things up. It's not a stimulant. I was prescribed it and had no problems other than a little extra gas. Just make sure she's drinking a healthy amount of water. I don't know what it would be for a baby but I always...
  17. Not really. I'm sure we'd find a way to cope. A jar of peanut butter and a spoon would get you through several days just fine. And, for what it's worth, there aren't any major fault lines running through Toronto so you're not likely to have an earthquake of epic proportions. And I'm sure a major Canadian city is well-equipped to deal with an ice or snow...
  18. If you were diagnosed by blood test / biopsy, there's nothing in a gene test that could undo that. Even if they came back negative.
  19. Yes, the blood panel can show false negatives but rarely false positives. Particularly in a child who can't build up a couple decades of damage. If he's creating antibodies, no, it doesn't matter the amount of damage. He'll heal on a careful diet. The only thing that might make you want a scope is cooperation from his school. They may not make necessary...
  20. For a Celiac? Or for someone who is intolerant of soy? For your garden variety Celiac, soy lechitin is safe and gluten-free. For someone with soy issues, it varies. Some can handle, some can't handle any soy at all.
  21. I don't know; it hasn't happened yet. I'm kind of curious about what my symptoms will be but not dumb enough to test it.
  22. At this point, no. Just a box of Chex and Larabars. Once I've healed more, I'll get a few things. But I've grown to like my whole food diet.
  23. The gastro told you it was normal to be in pain and have to go to sleep after a bowel movement? You need to find a new doctor. It's definitely not normal. And I agree with raven, maybe try dropping a few other things and see if that improves. Or even try a stool softener or an osmotic like Miralax or magnesium.
  24. I've lost about 35 pounds since October so I'm back in healthy range. I eat no processed foods except a handful of gluten-free Chex or a Larabar. Everything else is whole and prepared myself. Lots of fruits and veggies. Almost no pasta (rice-based) and always brown rice over white. No red meat. Chicken and fish several times a week. No cheese, no baked goods...
