  1. Ha ha! Well, we all have our moments!
  2. Ever had myofascial stripping? Ugh--I had done every week for several months. This was prediagnosis--in desperation to figure out what was wrong with me My doc said it would break up the fascial adhesions I had (all over). Needless to say, I do think this works in certain cases, but it didn't for me this time around. I ended up no better and it was...
  3. Thanks!! I was going to try their mascara sometime...but not now.
  4. Ha ha Vincent! I love that I even posted to that thread but forgot about it! Thanks

    ARCHIVED Pink Eye?

You poor thing! Hang in there--it will pass!! PS-- Naked at work w/o makeup--I would be freaking out myself! PPS--(Crimson wave--ha ha! That is so Cher in "Clueless"!)
  6. Hey, that's what I do too-thanks! Great minds think alike !!!
  7. Oh, esp with family history and being overweight. Just go to your doc and they can do bloodwork to check. Let us know if you find something out...I'm curious. Good luck!
  8. Has anyone made the icecream yet??? There are several recipes and I'm not sure which one is best. They also say the oil is optional--and I wondered if someone had made it--is it better with or without? Or will I be the first one??
  9. My father (psoriasis) and mother (hash's thyroid) were both tested--biopsies and blood work. I still think my dad has some food allergies (they both tested negative)...but he's not up for exploring that.
  10. Thanks for the info...my eyes are bothering me worse today....just feel really hot/burning. I will mention the noritate to the dermo on Tuesday too.
  11. Ursula- I think I must have myofascial pain syndrome too, in addition to my FMS.... Mine started a few years ago...constantly sore, knotted muscles. I know this wouldn't be in the cards for some--but I have started Pilates--good combination of lengthening/stretching the muscles and also muscle building. Stretching is very important for FMS. I know...
  12. 13. Yes, if its a distilled alcohol it should be safe...but apparently there is a chance a manufacturer could add something in post-distilling containing gluten? Hence...I check before I drink. Maker's was good--smooth... Enjoyed it!
  14. I also wondered about blood sugar... Since you are having ups and down (which can just be a normal part of the process), maybe try keeping a journal to see if you can link an activity, food or product to your symptoms.
  15. Yeah for everyone joining the millet crowd I served it last night instead of grits in grits and shrimp--with garlic and pepper. Yummy! Tiffany--Would love the tabouleh 'recipe' when you work it out--thanks!
  16. Absolutely... I mean, he told me he loved me last week and we did it...so you should do it too If you don't...he might break up with you!!!
  17. Oooo--sounds great! Question--simmering like I did gave it the soft grits texture. If I toasted before or cooked in less water, would it cook to more of a fluffy texture? Does my question make sense? Any good recipes you have with millet? You are kind-of an alternative grain goddess
  18. I say no Jillian... First off, I fall on the 'err-to-be-safe' side of the oats debate still. Not saying one day I won't try them...but not yet. If you ever did make the decision to try oats, I wouldn't start with these cookies...simply b/c they are buying "regular" pure old oats...this company is not making a gluten-free product--so they are not concerned...
  19. Yeah, I was thinking there was some root beer that had gluten in it. Not sure though...
  20. That's funny Kate! Yeah, I am excited about them... I loved grits, but can't really tolerate them. You could make this salty, in a beans or rice type meal or go for sweet and creamy and make into an oatmealish type cereal. Let me know what you think!
  21. Yeah...speaking of which...what's in your cup?
  22. Just wanted to pass along that I had millet for the 1st time last night and thought it was great! I bought Bob's brand...simmered like rice or quinoa. It reminded me a lot of grits...in fact I will be using it tonight to sub for grits in a recipe. (Can't really do corn) It has a very mild taste like rice--would be great in lots of different recipes. ...
  23. Love beans and rice
  24. Kate- That's nice your allergist can help... I am going to 2nd the other dermo I've been to in the past--curious if he'll have any other thoughts/ideas. Also will say...have been using benzol perioxide...and that seems to help mine. As I've said...mine is more pimply than flushing.
  25. My Cleveland Buddy HI! Actually Makers Mark is what I ended up getting. I was a Meijer and just wanted to get it done with other shopping. Glad to hear its good--we'll see tonight! Oh, any other recipes or drinks you use with your makers mark? Or just on ice ever?
