  1. I ate them, the baked ones, quite a bit before my diagnosis. When I called to confirm gluten-free--they were pretty shady about cross-contamination and told me they weren't sure if their products were safe or not. I ended up deciding to not eat them anymore...which was sad b/c I loved them. I might try them again someday...There response seems better than...

  8. Just wondered if anyone else here has used the Cause Your Special Lemon Poppyseed Muffin mix. Anyone? Bueller? Anyway...made them and they baked up nice...then fell after cooling. Figured with a good mix this wouldn't happen. The only way I varied from ingredients was using rice milk instead of regular milk.

  10. Flippin' sweet! Its going in the Tivo!
  11. Lollie-- How has your squash done in the past? I had that, cucumber and zuchnni last year and ugh--they all got some kind of downy mildew I think. It was bad...tried different things, but nothing worked. Christine--Congrats on the blue ribbon!! I should totally try and do that sometime. I was in 4-H fair growing up. My husband was a FFH and judged...
  12. Hmmm...how long were you on the meds? It definitely could be a Celiac thing...but also makes me think of ulcer--can cause very bad pain and acid on the inflammation can cause a burning/hungry type of feeling. Another sign would be that you feel better after eating... Gastritis also causes inflammation, pain, vomitting...another idea. Is there any connection...
  13. Jen-- (my name-friend : ) That is a good way of putting it--humbling, I agree. So glad you did make it thru grad school...but sad to hear about the job. It sounds like you have a good attitude...trying to stay positive and getting 'back to life' one step at a time. Hope things continue to move up and up!

  22. Kate-- It is an annoying disorder... Glad yours has gotten better though. I have less of the flushing...do get some redness, but more of the bumpiness. I bought some new products last night in the hopes of reducing redness and improving my skin again. I bought to Eucerin redness reducing products. They aren't all-natural like the other products I use...

Wait--just another minute!!" He said he didn't want to have to throw my poop...
