  1. lotus-- good chance for you to educate i had bone density test too...easy, no biggie.
  2. Tina- You can absolutely get gluten-free flours prepackaged--brands like Bobs Red Mill, Authentic Foods, Ener-g etc. Ask someone when you get to Wild Oats for their gluten-free food list--it will help guide you thru the store to find gluten-free products.
  3. Maybe its a silly question but if you have taken the multis from Freeda--how big are the tablets? I hate swallowing pills and don't want to order their multis if they are flippin' huge! Thanks
  4. thnx for posting...contadina is my fav tom. paste
  5. yeah, i didn't state the name in my post--but the link and info i wrote was on keratosis pilaris...
  6. Similar to what Tiffany said... your body pre and post gluten-free can react differently to alcohol. Pre gluten-free I could tolerate a lot of sugar...and could have several drinks w/o noticing anything, not that I really drank much to begin with. Now, 11 mos gluten-free, I no longer really like sugary candy and find it gives me a headache. Alcohol isn...
  7. yoplait in us... and as sillyak mentioned PLAIN flavor of Dannon or Stoneyfield...their flavors are not gluten-free.
  8. Open Original Shared Link Ck this out--sounds like this to me. If it is--these bumps are common in people and has to do with pores clogging and needing exfoliation. The best way to get rid of them I have found is the lactic acid lotion. Your drug store should have it, but it may be behind the pharmacy counter. Amlactain is a brand I've used in the...

Deb-- Something I'll mention again too... Metamucil and Citricel never helped me actually. It is only the real, natural psyllium I've had success with...

  13. I have a friend who was tentatively diagnosed with Bechet's disease--another autoimmune. Just wondering if anyone here has any info or experience with it...I'm trying to do some research for her.
  14. Something else...don't be too hard on yourself up front. There's a chance as you go gluten-free, you will miss a few things, and it will take you some time to weed out all the sources of gluten... You can also go back to more natural and fresh foods and introduce new ones as you find they are safe. Get a notebook, print off info you find and receive to...
  15. I think other food issues can be confusing. I have food intolerances I tested positive for, like dairy, eggs, soy etc. And I have other foods like corn, turkey and chocolate that were negative on the food intol. test but produce very strong symptoms. Something helpful for you Dani would be to read about Leaky Gut Syndrome...that is what occurs in several...

I put most of my traveling tips in your traveling thread...but for restaurants...safest bet is to ask for the manager to discuss your needs, pick simple foods like a plain meat, steamed veggies, baked potato, salad etc and impress that the pans/utensils used to cook the food must be cleaned and that your salad must be mixed in a clean bowl (some places mix...
  17. I haven't had a problem with getting a fridge so far. Now, I don't endorse lying but if they don't take you seriously...there is always the option of saying you are diabetic too--which requires a fridge. Also--for the plane etc--ck this cooler out, not the same, but simliar to the one I bought for traveling. Open Original Shared Link You can buy...

  21. Your body produces some mucous normally to help lube up the intestines...however, increased mucous can be a sign of intestinal irritation--which goes along with Celiac. A little more info on it here: Open Original Shared Link

    ARCHIVED Nuvaring

Tiffany-- I did read thru the nuvaring risks and they seemed to be the same as the risks with my ortho. I think those risks you mentioned are similar for all BC, so beware of that. I totally understand your decision to opt out. I would love to do that myself too--but at this point I physically can not risk a pregnancy. I have been on BC for about 1...
  23. I had a palm Zire and loved it...the color one. Can't remember the # now. I have a Trio now...also good.
