  4. hmm, so you are looking not for a sandwich bread so much? kinnikinnick makes these really great english muffins (thicker than real ones). i use them as my sub for "rolls" at holiday/family dinners with butter and jam. you can toast them in the oven. we also like to toast them on the grill with burgers etc. chebe also has great bread mixes you could try...
  5. it may have been a coincidence--but our bodies can do crazy things! about two years ago i started having issues with tampons and no longer wear them. i get natracare natural type pads, they have tampons too--they aren't bleached out and made with chemicals like others--so they are less inclined to irritate.

  7. for peace of mind and ease, my husband has his own pan, griddle, pizza pan, mixing bowl, spatula and mixing spoon. this is partly b/c we do not have a dishwasher...and it just makes it easier for moi.

    ARCHIVED Need To Vent

Beth- Were these your close friends who came to the cookout? If any of my friends were Celiac and I wasn't I would totally respect their wishes--and it would seem like a small price to pay to care for my friend. You are not wrong in your request. If you get as sick as you say--then you are totally justified! I am so sorry your friends were not as sensitive...
  9. did you have mono recently? that can caused an enlarged spleen.

  14. my psoriasis can be painful--mostly if i pick at it. i also recently got a bit of an infection in the scalp--deducted by the fact the glands on my neck and behind my ears were swollen, and one section of the scalp was very painful. what does is look like, just red, shiny, scaly ? i guess you don't know for sure. that would be helpful to know. this...
  15. yikes! we had problems with our beer foaming up...not exploding though. we keep all our bevs in a basement fridge. finally we figured out that the dryer's spin cycle was so powerful it was shaking our fridge nearby and shaking up all our drinks! it was funny b/c my bro gave my dh a case of international beers last year for christmas and b/c they would...
  16. Shirley those sound great! are the r. berries difficult to grow? ever try straw or blueberries? I had a heck of a time with my onions this year. What might you think to be the problem if they grow very little--are not very large? Problem with roots? Too much water?
  17. i chose to get rid of anything i had--any product--that had wheat, barley, oats or rye. i figured why even take a chance when there are so many products out there w/o those ingredients? i did have to part with some products i loved, but i have found new ones that are great, and don't have all the chemicals etc in them either.

  19. steph-- let us know how the ol' roto rooter goes
  20. dogear-- i think you are way too apologetic! feel confident in the choice you made and that you are caring for yourself well. and know that those who care for you will support your decision, and hopefully try to understand it too. try and continue to share this with others . the more we share the more we will raise awareness (which makes things easier...
