  1. I think I would accept the blood tests as diagnostic, especially if you ge that sick from gluten.
  2. You could do a gluten free diet and then challenge by eating gluten. That completely did it for me. I was sick as a dog on any tiny amount of gluten so I didn't challenge it for long. It is sometimes very clear after you eliminate it. All of your symptoms are consistent with Celiac. I had the same long terribly ill pregnancies too for what it is worth. My...
  3. My spouse didn't believe me...divorced me for being sick when the Dr.'s didn't think it was anything significant. My family didn't believe me...thought I was just depressed and making things up. My doctors didn't believe me...thought it was mental, an eating disorder, neurotic excoriation and fibromyalgia. In the end, the only thing that mattered was that...
  4. Oh my God NO, there would be no way.... ever... Traces give me a severe reaction and I don't feel well for weeks like others have said. As for getting different reactions...that is the nature of Celiac Disease...it changes and effects different systems at different times and to varying degrees. This is why people have such a hard time getting diagnosed...
  5. I don't think you are reading too much into it....it is a most under-diagnosed disease...soemthing like 90% are undiagnosed according to Dr. Peter Green in Celiac: A Hidden Epidemic. I can NOT believe her Dr. did not suspect Celiac when it was mentioned having been diagnosed in another family member. You would be doing her a big favor to talk with her about...
  6. The last time I got glutened and knew it, nothing at all happened for 24 hours...I thought I was darn lucky. The second day I felt tired and sluggish but nothing terrible. The third day I got a horrible migraine...the fourth day I actually threw up, had deression, anxiety, and D. I was shocked at how bad I felt. The fifth day I had D but no headache and two...
  7. I'm so so sorry he is so sick...he was doing great to be eating all that food but even one tiny mistake with gluten can make you sick as a dog and make you think you are dying...it's that bad. I agree with Mushroom that it was probably gluten and I never eat rotisserie chickens anymore because you just can't be sure even if the seasoning is fine...who touched...
  8. The biopsy should be enough...usually people get the bloodwork then the biopsy. But it won't hurt to get the blood tests done anyway so you have a baseline to see if your antibodies are going down on the gluten free diet. You could ask your Dr. if it is absolutely necessary if you don't really want the blood tests done. You are definitely Celiac with the...
  9. That's about the right time frame for dairy sensitivity...at least that is what happened to me. I happily kept eating my cheese and dairy...and thinking I wouldn't be one of "them". Well, it sure took me a while to realize it was actually dairy making me feel lousy...several weeks after giving up gluten... I know you don't wanna hear that...and neither did...
  10. Elana's Panty will be perfect for you. She used Almond flour and Coconut flour exclusively...and agave nectar instead of sugar...but you could use your Stevia and adapt the recipes. I've liked the recipes I have tried.
  11. It could be salicylates if you reacted after taking the Bayer aspirin. Something like 1/100 people are sensitive to salicylates. A sensitivity can develop at any time. It is cumulative and reactions are worse the more you consume if you have a sensitivity to it. (it is also high in certain fruits and vegetables) My salicylate reactions and gluten reactions...
  12. This post is old but it says the gentle cleanser is the one that is gluten free. Perhaps that is the one you are using??
  13. He is getting mixed messages from you if you keep talking to him at all after he has asked you for a kiss...and he doesn't stop flirting when you say you are happily married. If you are being kind to him...he thinks you like him. I don't think you are trying to send mixed messages but he is interpreting that you are inviting him to "flirt" with you. The cultural...
  14. In a frypan on medium heat saute' cut up chicken breast, potato and onion in a little oil until the potato is soft. Sprinkle with Tony Cachera's seasoning. You can do the same thing with any vegetables you eat. Is chicken breast OK for you or do you not eat any meat?
  15. Here...let me help you get your dream started...I will supply my address and you will send me things to "test"...
  16. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link I like intermittent fasting...it makes me feel better. Hope it does you too.
  17. Oh my god....this reminds me of cream cheese filled croissants....hmmm...yummy..that would be soooo good. Your dough and the finished products look like real bread...wow!
  18. Simona- You are Amazing!! I think you should market and produce these instead of giving your recipes away...but thanks a million for all of your beautiful and delicious work! Your pictures are absolutely mouth-watering! An egg wash would help the sesame seeds to stick. I used to have the same problem back when I baked gluten bread.
  19. Open Original Shared Link At first I was going to reply that you could eat canned food and successfully avoid gluten if that was really the best you could do for your food. Then I decided to google the question just as you posed it....this page is what came up right under your post from Celiac.com. After reading it...jeez...I don't think I am eating...
  20. Glutamate is not gluten....so that shouldn't hurt you at all. Not sure about nail polish ingredients...you would have to check what is in it...as well as any lotions they use if you want to avoid gluten during a pedicure.
  21. Oh dear, I didn't see your post until now. Cetaphil is not gluten free. If your rash is related to gluten or is actually DH it might be the Cetaphil. There are posts on here discussing Cetaphil by others who thought it was for sensitive skin and liked it...but it isn't safe for Celiacs. The have one product that is ok, but it isn't the regular Cetaphil...
  22. Ha! Maybe they are!! That's why they couldn't just land and be done with it. They were spinning around with neurological symptoms and brain fog...and a simple landing wasn't possible for them! AlienAtaxia haha hope it's ok to joke bout it here too.
  23. Congratulations! Wow! That is just wonderful! I remember after my 16 year old had been gluten free for 4 months and he told me he felt like jogging I almost fell over! It was the saddest and happiest feeling in the world to watch my son go for a jog when he had been sick most of his life with asthma and muscle weakness and had never been able to participate...
  24. Wow! That should not be happening. Someone needs to be educated about Celiac Disease/Gluten Intolerance. have you talked to her therapist?? I would think the family could be included in therapy and if I was the mom I'd be mad as hell that they are giving her psychiatric diagnoses without consulting her Dr. as to whether there is in fact anything wrong with...
  25. Open Original Shared Link Here is a recipe...if you wanna make your own.
