After going gluten free things went well for quite awhile then I started having issues with other intolerances. The medical community has been less than helpful. I... -

future side effects are not just possible they are inevitable unless you go totally gluten free. If the probability of cancer and other things already noted in this thread dont concern you ,goggle gluten ataxia. Not fun and sometimes the damage is permanent.Or Leaky gut, that happens and you will be lucky to find anything you can eat that doesnt make you... -
I agree the suggestion of doing an elimination diet. It has been one the hardest and yet most rewarding experiences for me. I feel better now than i can ever,EVER remember feeling. The times when I reintroduce something my body does not like are undoubtedly rough **understatement **.. But generally pass fairly quickly when I take that item back out...

Cass, It has ALL become quite the balancing act. Since starting an elimination diet my sodium intake is under 1000 mg a day and I avoid iodine rich foods, my DH is MUCH better and healing. But I am told the iodine is essential to my thyroid As far as the corn starch,,it is a very small amount,, as long as there is absolutely no other corn/corn by... -

You know you have a issue with wheat, rye ect and wither a gluten intolerance... -

ARCHIVED Any Ideas For "disguising" The Texture Of Meat?
cahill replied to Kelleybean's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I have a hard time swallowing and digesting meats. Just plain meat or even a hamburger patty is almost impossible for me to swallow. I find if i cook very finely ground meats in a sauce or stir fry they are much easier to swallow and digest. Have you tried mixing ground meat in casseroles ,stews or ,if he can eat nightshades, a red sauce -
