Most people will experience a dip in their blood sugar (glucose) levels when consuming alcohol. Maybe that's what happened? just speculating. Also, alcohol is high in histamine, which can cause rapid heartbeat, flushing, insomnia, nausea and agitation among other symptoms. Maybe you should lay off the rum? Sorry

IrishHeart replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi love!! So good to "see you". Missed you 'round the dinner table! So happy that you're happy!! whoohoo!! -
If it makes you feel any better, my PCP doctor symptom-treated me for 12 years. When I was deathly ill, he kept trying to help me, sending me to all kinds of specialists. I dropped 90 lbs, lost my hair, cognitive function, developed painful neuropathy & ataxia, anemia and a few dozen other symptoms until finally, I was the one who figured out that I...

Except for some fiber in the beans, everything you are eating is totally devoid of nutrition, kiddo. You need some protein and some veggies!!. How about you drink some water?. If you are just diagnosed, you may want to hold off on the alcohol a bit. It could be your gall bladder, or it could just be that those foods are not super healthy and...

The What's For Dinner Tonight Chat
IrishHeart replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Have to say, I was headed here to say something but I had to put my coffee down and you beat me to it. We're so juvenile. lmao -
Not to wander off topic here, but I tried a Wen shampoo and wish I could have all that money back. That stuff is awful. It made my hair flat, dull and it looked like it was full of grease. I was so disappointed after seeing all the rave reviews about it. I have no idea why people say it's fantastic. Might as well just rub hand lotion in you hair and get...

ARCHIVED Need Help With Foods To Gain Weight
IrishHeart replied to Patti J's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
This is true. Some of us around here are real bacon freaks. Bacon is essential to life. -
I was mistaken about the brand. So sorry. It was L'Oreal. This one: Open Original Shared Link Hon, honestly, unless you have a topical wheat allergy, something applied to your skin or scalp, in this case, should not be an issue. You are not going to swallow it and even if there were any form of minute gluten particle in the solution, it would be...

I will never be gray. I refuse, I go to the salon and have my hair colored. Totally worth it. Lasts much longer and I have never had a reaction of any kind and I am pretty sensitive to trace CC. when I could not get there for some reason, I have used Garnier.

ARCHIVED Silicone Baking Pans
IrishHeart replied to BlessedMommy's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Silicone is great for spatulas and utensils, not for baking. I use the USA pans. I love them. I recommend them to everyone. Pizza pan, bread pans, muffin pans, muffin top pans (which I use for rolls and granola cookies) and cake pans....everything I make, comes out perfectly. Not exaggerating! just sayin. (not a paid spokesperson) Open Original... -

I use a number of different rubs, bastes and marinades, but if you have not checked out Leite's Culinaria, yet...please do. There are a lot of rubs and spice blends on there and our very own Love2Travel likes that site. She recently sent me an email, BTW everyone and she and her hubs are in their home in Croatia and acclimating to life. She is doing... -
ARCHIVED Soy Intolerance Resources?
IrishHeart replied to Kias4's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Here is what I know about the healing process: patience, time and a plethora of unexpected "get backs"! -
1. A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: ''Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen!'' The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: ''The driver just insulted me!'' The man says: ''You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you.'' 2. ''I went to the zoo the...

ARCHIVED Soy Intolerance Resources?
IrishHeart replied to Kias4's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
If it helps, after 3.5 post-DX, I can now do some gluten-free soy sauce in dishes and soy lecithin in things like choc chips. Maybe your intolerance will resolve, too! I am not an edamame or tofu fan anyway, so it is no big loss for me if I can't have big portions of it. -

Joint Popping And Muscle Twitching?
IrishHeart replied to spirit-walk's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
The thing is guys, Spirit walk has done all that stuff. He tells me he has seen rheumies & orthos & all manner of doctors. He and I have discussed this many times. It's not a rheumatological or orthopedic problem. he said: The rheumatologists I've seen can't explain the joint popping. -
ARCHIVED Symptoms Of Dark Circles Under Eyes
IrishHeart replied to Deano12's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I agree. It may take some time for those circles to go. I do recall that my friend's son had dark circles from a dairy intolerance. Perhaps if you removed diary for a bit to see if that is a cause? Hang in there. The healing process is slow, but steady and you need to give your body some time to rebound. -

It seems that his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had all been able to walk on water on their 18th birthday. On that special day, they'd each walked across the lake to the pub on the far side for their first legal drink. So when Paddy's, 18th birthday came around, he and his pal Mick, took a boat out to the middle of the lake, Paddy, stepped...
