  3. I echo this. My family knows not to ask me about 2008-2010. I have a great brain for trivial pursuit and I can remember stuff from my childhood very vividly , but those few years in what I call gluten head hell....one big scary bad dream. Some of that is a bit of a blur, but I kept a journal the entire time because I knew something was wrong and until I was...
  4. You have to get a larger one. I can't be the only one with two sizes (it's Karen's fault! it's Karen's fault!)

  9. yeah, an hour of light cardio during the first few months after diagnosis would have been impossible for many of us, but if you can do it, kudos! The brain fog I was talking about? was serious cognitive impairment that was caused by malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies and I was hardly walking at the time. We laugh about it now, because we have recovered...
  10. truth is, I pack it better than he does and he yells at me if it is too full. But he empties it, so I don't say nuttin smart alecky back. Anytime my man wants to help, I let him.
  11. I have always been an advocate for whirled peas.
  12. I knew you could do it!! And most of those heat packs have gone to good homes and those people with sore necks and shoulders are very grateful. I gifted all of them except the bunny one you made specially for me and the giraffe one. (because it was your gift to me that I treasure!) One of my friends (who loves mermaids) took a selfie with her mermaid...
  13. You have worked hard and I am so proud of you--and very happy for you too!!
  14. I knew many people who never put soap in their cast iron pans...they just washed them with water and wiped and dried them off so they did not rust. it is called "seasoning". The point is, if your pan is seasoned properly, things should slide right out and all you need is water. (but do not ask me, I do not like cast iron pans) Like Karen and Addy...
  15. seriously, you should see how many things are in mine before it gets run (married to mr. environmental conservationist here) BTW,some of the planets are made of cheese ..I heard that!.... And i am pretty sure Dr. oz mentioned it .....
  16. You bet, Patti. Whatever I have saved/bookmarked in my arsenal of research....it's yours. GottaSki lisa has a ton of stuff saved too...Take care, IH
  17. and any other quick search will give you this opinion: A wood cutting board is the best for prepping fruits and vegetables. Keep one on your counter and clean and oil it often. For preparing raw proteins, we recommend a plastic board, which should be washed often, preferably in a dish washer. If you like using a cutting board for carving cooked meats...
  18. Me too. I totally suck at math. (one of the many reasons I keep the hubs around.)
  19. Oh yes.....we always celebrate the "normal BM" around here for sure! (I had alternating bowels aka "IBS") my entire life, so I truly "get this"! There is so much joy in not having one's life ruled by the amount of time spent in the loo. Keep up the good work!
  20. Speaking of math problems, you can read this explanation by Tricia Thompson, RD. Open Original Shared Link Conclusion: "Even if all of the gluten-free grain foods you ate contained 20 parts per million gluten (and they probably won’t) you would have to eat a lot more than the recommended number of servings to approach an intake of 10 milligrams o...
  21. tell 'em old Auntie Irish is going to take them up on that offer very soon.
  22. I would never drink it. There are many gluten-free options now that do not involve the "removal" of gluten. Bard's NewPlanet--many styles Glutenberg-many styles Green's-many styles Lake Front Brewery ( New Grist) Ipswich Ale Brewery Dogfish Head Harvester-many styles Epic Brewing Sprecher Steadfast--many styles Nickel Brook Redbridge...

  24. so if I suddenly show up, I can not only eat but also drink and swim? man.....I wish I lived next door.
  25. I do not wish to pick a bone here, but you did say this: and then, this: and honestly, I am not seeing the distinction here. Corn - produces corn crops--so, if you can tolerate corn, you can tolerate corn crop products. Are you saying that the "production of corn products" is the problem? Then, that is not the growing process ...
