  1. the love on here is mutual. laughter is crucial to healing, reduces stress, knocks down inflammatory cytokines and promotes good circulation. EVERYONE...please believe me...unless you are suffering serious steatorrhea, and weak and suffering from continuous expulsions, you are probably still just healing. DRINK water, hydrate, take probiotics...
  2. It is fantastic. They have been trained by GIG. They always make sure I am taken care of. The staff is very celiac-savvy. IMHO I cannot say enough "good stuff" about Bonefish. I reviewed them on Find me Gluten free. I have eaten during rush hour during season here in FL--still okay! Enjoy! I love the chilean sea bass with mango salsa and hubs does...
  3. I AGREE completely with Karen's thoughts. Your husband is right, 4 monkeys. This is not one worth fussing over. Honest. Let's be realistic here. Chances of this being a problem are pretty nil. Take it all outside, blow a hair dryer on it .......and enjoy. ....and say "thank you for the thoughtful gift".
  4. I'm sorry, but that's not a Celiac disease panel you had done, hon. (those tests do not diagnose celiac) I do not think a gastroenterologist will just do a biopsy before doing a celiac panel first.
  5. pretty much like getting a cat to swallow one
  6. I would say that most celiacs are not corn-intolerant. But many celiacs DO have other food intolerances that include corn, dairy, soy for example. Corn cannot damage the villi like gluten can-- if that is what you are worried about. I was intolerant of dairy and soy and MSG for a long time and I have an intolerance for high histamine foods. Still can...
  7. This book by Amy Stein pretty much explains what my DPT Lynda taught me. But she also worked on some rather sensitive spots as well. (ugh) It was not fun, but it got me mobile once more. I could barely walk or sit at one point without terrible pain.. Open Original Shared Link
  8. that's it...I think you've gone batpoop crazy from the cold.
  9. I'd go but..... I'm not dog-sled ready right now.
  10. Healing from celiac is the mother of all exercises in patience, IMHO. I had to wait 2 years before even setting foot in a gym (my muscles were deeply impacted by malabsorption) and I spent 3 days a week with a physical therapist and a massage therapist. I had to do some pretty grueling pelvic floor PT. so yes, you have youth and enthusiasm and an...
  11. If you didn't have to wear 347 lbs. of winter woolies to stay warm, you'd be uber-thin.
  12. oh yeah....her brain's frozen, guys.!!
  13. you can't really view the full article from the link. but I did see it on the internet earlier today So I go to the directory page and put my new zip code in there and it gives me a list of 3 GIs in the area I am still keeping my guy in NY for annual visits, but I figure, I'll check it out. 3 listed within 50 miles. And under the question "Knowledgeable...
  14. more like this --and you really do need to get out of that god-forsaken place asap!
  15. between this thread and the Poop thread, you've got me in stitches.
  16. LOL.....you really are enjoying those emoticon thingers, aren't you? I put one up there for Abby, but it did not come through. I just fixed it...check it out!
  17. ......omg that's just wrong, honey...(she said as she sipped her beverage in her shorty Pajammies on the lanai...) let me check the temp for you...hold on a sec...yeah... it's 81.
  18. Coots? still there? sorry?. we'll be good.
  19. I remember when you used to be all quiet and ladylike. we bring the worst out in poople, er people.
  20. .........and .that would be called...............an enthusiastic CRAP CLAP...
  21. You are not hypothyroid. Yaay! If you were, BTW, you would have chronic C, not D. If you continue to have D, take Culturelle dairy free probiotics with Lactobacillis GG. Scientifically proven to aid in relieving D. My own GI doc recommended it. Please stop pushing yourself right now. Your body is rebooting itself, so to speak. I understand your...
  22. and when people say "howzitgoing?" you can say "holy crap, it's so much better.!..firm and healthy...thanks for asking! A friend told she keeps a food diary --including "poop notes"--on her electronic thinger--iphone--. I said " omg...you actually have a .......CRAP APP?!"
  23. PS The two most common causes of floating stools are excess gas and malabsorption of nutrients. so, it is entirely possible that Coots is still in recovery stage and so, she needs to take the enzymes. I guess I am trying to say, please do not worry too much!
  24. Honestly, guys, I sometimes have floaters--it's not always bad....sometimes, it's a sign of good fiber! I mean, who says they have to sink? Seriously, I have read a lot about poop (never thought I'd type THOSE words lol) and the last book I read about GI health said floaters were not necessarily a bad thing, especially if the color, texture,...
  25. I know, right? plus,I use it in my baking. Superior rolls and pizza crusts that way. My pal Sherry who owns the G F bakery gave me that tip. oh come now.......EVERY day is Brownie day to you.!
