  1. If its the right side, it could be the gallbladder. Mine did fine on all blood tests and ultrasounds, but when i had a HIDA scan done it showed it was working at 5%. The pain was really bad from it. It was not functioning properly either.
  2. Seems to me like you only have one gene.
  3. I wouldn't say the ground beef could have been the problem. You listed three other things (onions, mushrooms, and margarine). Any of those could have done it. For example, margarine could have soy or any other things in it. Soy is a major trigger for some.
  4. Have you considered that you might have picked up a stomach bug somewhere?
  5. There are many things in lotions that a person can be allergic to. It is very possible that since giving up gluten, other allergies decided to rear their heads (an example of this would be how i found out about my tomato allergy after going gluten free). I would find out what the lotion was, and try to find out what was in it.
  6. I walk a lot (about 10 or so miles a week), so i don't think getting more exercise would help me very much Last night was terrible, but part of it was due to those powerful winds here.
  7. Thats no fun. I remember my days with braces and the like. It took days before i could eat anything solid
  8. and we have 60-70 mph winds here with snow. Yesterday was nearly 70F and now we aren't even expected to reach 20F.
  9. Snow day... or rather wind day. So no classes today. We're under a blizzard warning as well. Who knows what i'll do for dinner. About the epi-pens, confirm with the school if a student can have them in their backpack. They may not allow it and require it to be kept with the school nurse.
  10. I deal with this. Its not fun. I force myself to go to bed earlier and regardless of how much i sleep, I am tired the next day. Some days i can nap and that helps sometimes, but not always. I've been known to do a full day of classes and whatnot on 4 or less hours of sleep. I'm quite interested to see what others say.
  11. They... do? The only time i've seen them leak is if they are dropped in the flour area of the store. The local store i go to is really clean, so i don't worry about it.
  12. Did you try or come into contact with anything new? It is certainly possible, however, I would look into anything you might have come into contact with. To my understanding, DH is constantly itchy. Another thought would be a heat rash of sorts.
  13. I would consider cutting dairy for a while. That could be causing it.
  14. How long have you been gluten free? Are you taking supplements? I've heard that if you are low in calcium it can cause muscle cramps and the like.
  15. You've been diagnosed with celiac. You should not be eating gluten in any way, shape or form. Symptoms change. Not all celiacs have stomach problems. It has a wide variety of symptoms. It would not surprise me in the slightest if that was what is causing your symptoms.
  16. When in doubt, contact the manufacturer. I should think not, however, who knows now days.
  17. Left over mac and cheese with asparagus... I omitted the butter last night, reduced the amount of milk, a touch of corn starch, and kept the amount of cheese the same. It came out cheesier than before. That's a keeper.
  18. For a celiac, it means that your gut will be harmed and that you have a higher risk of not healing, developing other conditions, etc. For a non-celiac but gluten intolerant person, it means that they will feel sick whenever they eat it. As of right now, to my knowledge, there is not a lot of information out there that tells us what exactly NCGI does to...
  19. I'm going to second the opinion of going to the ER. GERD varies from person to person, this is true. When i get it bad, it feels like someone is sitting on my chest. There's a massive burning in my throat. There is something more going on here. Please get looked at.
  20. If that crisp comes out good, post the recipe Mac and cheese.... Its been a while since i've had it.
  21. Sweet tea has a lot of sugar and caffeine. Both could cause a problem. As for the potato, anything that came in contact to it could be contaminated (butter for example).
  22. Stress can cause IBS like symptoms. The best way to figure out what is bothering you is to make a food diary. Write down everything you eat and your symptoms. It could be that something else might be bothering you.
  23. If they cannot accomodate normally then a student is placed in a housing option with access to a kitchen. Generally speaking of course.
  24. First off, she will need official documentation for her gluten free diet (celiac or intolerence?), and allergies from her doctor. She will also need to meet with each school's disability office to discuss accomodations. As for schools themselves, i have no idea.
