    On his height....have the ped. look at his curve. Has it gone down? I have some friends with very short kids and short parents. They say that the kids are fine because they have always been on the low curve. No change. However, my child was 50% for 6 years then dropped to 21%. Turns out to be low thyroid.     My daughter has no symptoms. That doesn't mean they couldn't start but she doesn't have any right now.

    My daughters scope looked normal, too but came back "simplification". That is the start of blunting. You don't go from having great villi to none overnight yet some doctors will not say celiacs until total villi destruction. Not my GI. He said to start gluten free immediately that she had celiac. But she also had positive genes, positive blood, etc....

    Sometimes it takes a doctor to tell your husband it is serious. I had that with some post pardum depression (my grandfather died 3 hours after my baby was born) My husband didn't grasp the severity of it.     Thank you 1974girl, for your perspective! You are totally welcome! Since the original post, my father's 1,000 PVCs a day have totally gone away after he stopped drinking caffeinated drinks (coffee was the #1 for him).

    My daughter had the same thing! On their way down for the biopsy they found EE. Her back test showed all beans, peas, rice, pork, mustard, cantaloupe, tree nuts, and apples. I have no idea if she is really allergic to any of that. My friend's son showed nothing on the back prick. I had 2 doctors tell me 2 different things. 1) flovent and food trials...

    I also wanted to add to make sure your thyroid levels are normal. They go hand in hand with celiac. My dd has low thyroid and celiac.

    So I have read that 98% of celiacs go undiagnosed. Then, I got an email from celiac.com in the last few weeks (I think it was them) saying that a new study shows that undiagnosed people live as long as the diagnosed ones.
