  1. Birth control pills can upset the flora in the stomach leading to candida overgrowth. Your symptoms could be caused by this.
  2. I have IC. What helped me was avoiding citrus. As soon as I avoided tomatoes and oranges I improved dramatically. If I dabble in them now, I start to get symptoms. I second the advice on enterolabs. It can take months and even up to a couple of years to feel better on gluten free diet, depending how much damage has been done.
  3. If you have a natural food store, try Annie's dressings (labeled gluten free or not) or Spectrum canola mayonaise.
  4. What supplements are you on? Too much vit c or magnesium can give you the runs.
  5. Thanks, I'm in Boston all the time to see my boyfriend. Yea!
  6. Hi everyone, Looking for some advice. I have been following this topic for a while and have some questions. I have fibro, which went away for 2 years and has reared its ugly head again. I have hashimotos, diagnosed by the antibody test. I am on Cytomel, but body temps still low and still feel like crap. Some days I have a "good day" with some energy...
  7. I have heard some scary stuff about those prescription bone builders. Please check into alternative methods if possible.
  8. My boyfriend is Japanese and he says that eel is always marinated in a sauce (unsafe usually). He said it is really hard to find unmarinated eel, except in certain markets in Japan.
  9. It could be celiac, but it could also be parasites. My son at 15 months started vomiting and having diareahha for 2 months. They did the normal par. tests, but all were neg. The docs told me they are only accurate about 45% of the time!! After 2 months, I demanded treatment for a parasite. The docs agreed and he stopped vomiting after the first dose. It...
  10. I had this several years ago and took Paxil. It helped, but numbed me , so I went off. 5-htp is supposed to be good for it. It is natural. Also having your adrenals on can cause them to crash and actually be underactive. Also candida overgrowth can cause these symptoms and is common in celiac.
  11. I eat at Bugaboo in Watertown near Arsenal Mall in Mass. I go at least every other month. So far no problems. But, I have been 4 times since the gluten-free menu came out. The third time it was different menu, and the fourth it was back to the old one!? So, I was a little concerned. I stick to the same thing each time and have been ok. I get the lemon seasoned...
  12. Birth control pills can cause candida overgrowth wich can in turn cause fibro symptoms. I got off that stuff a few years ago and just deal with plain old condoms now.
  13. cold eeze is gluten free. I always use it and it helps me get better faster. Sudafed is gluten free also. I also use a homeopathic remedy called cold cf. I get it at my local health food store. It helps.
  14. It could also be candida overgrowth.
  15. Lister, you should look into threelac. You can fight the candida without drastically changing your diet, though you need to stop refined sugars. Check it out online.

  19. How about Tylenol arthritis (the 8 hour version)?
  20. My ex-husband has had a rash all over for a year and a half. They have told him it it Lichen Planus. It is now in his mouth. I wondered at first if it was DH. Doc doesn't think so. He stopped wheat for a while but not gluten ( I can't convince him). It did nothing. I was wondering if anyone had this and if it is connected to celiac. I told him he should...
  21. I read that some need to take up to 4-5 a day if candida is bad. Move up to three and see how you do. If you start feeling a lot of die off you can always reduce. They talk a lot about this on Candida Support.com (I think that is the name).
  22. I am so happy for you. Unfortuneatly my fibro issues all came back in the last 6 weeks and I am in a lot of pain. I have not been glutened and I don't know why! I am pretty bummed at this point.
  23. The mayonaise probably had grain vinegar in it. This is common.
