  1. No, Go Flyers! and RED SOX!
  2. Armour is not outdated and a lot of people on this site are on it. I used it, but do better with cytomel. Synthroid only works for a small amount of people. Unfortuneately endos tend to know the least about all this. They only believe in the TSH and synthroid. I would read the other thyroid threads on here. I am not the only one saying these things...
  3. Scotty, the symptoms of your bladder sound like Intersticial Cytstitis. A lot of us have that on here. It is an autoimmune condition affecting the bladder. I however believe it is candida related. Maybe you are having die off in your bladder. check out the intersticial cystitis thread on related conditions.
  4. I am very concerned for both of you. Just because your TSH is normal does not mean your hashis is better. The TSH is very innacurate. If your antibodies are 137 you are not better. Your antibodies need to be under 20. My antibodies were 799 and my TSH is normal. Also a TSH of 4.2 is not normal it is hypo. The new reference ranges (changed a few years...
  5. Stay away from Puffins. I ate the Honey Rice and felt like crapola afterwards!!!
  6. The downtown Boston location has a dedicated gluten free area in their kitchen!!
  7. Hi all, I have gluten intolerance and IC. My IC was in remission even before going gluten free. It really kicked in after another UTI 2 years after going gluten free. I really believe a lot of IC is candida related. I think this may be the case for me. I currently take Cysta-q (with Quercitin) a natural remedy for IC. I also take 4 doses of 5-6 pellets...
  8. Thanks so much. I have been saying for 2 years now, " I wish there was a gluten free ravioli!"
  9. Yea! I am going down there the end of Feb. to visit my parents!
  10. I need help with this too. My son just got tested. I thought there should be 5 tests. When I got the results only 2 were done. The endomysial was negative and one of the IGA was done and it was 6.5. Supposed to be under 20. What are the tests needed and what ones are the most telling?? These docs and labs are clueless!! I hate to stick my poor son again...
  11. Your tests will not be accurate since you went gluten free. I suggest you do Enterolabs stool testing. You can be gluten free for this. But, obviously you are at least gluten intolerant since you eliminated and then ate it and had a reaction. Gluten intolerance can destroy your body as much as Celiac.
  12. The new ranges changed 5 years ago are .3-3. Blue eyed mama - you should talk to you lab about their incorrect ranges. A test result of 2.999 with symptoms def. indicates a problem. You need to get the whole panel done including the thyroid peroxidase antibodies. This shows if your body is attacking your thyroid. It should be under 20. Also if any of...
  13. NeeSee Have you ever cut nightshades out of your diet? They have been implicated in joint and muscle pain. These include tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and peppers. Also I would look into candida overgrowth as well.
  14. If there is bacteria in the bladder how come cultures are negative for it. The IC diet helps me, but if I stray or walk too much or have sex it flares up again! Can I have tapioca flour on the candida diet? How about cheese? I was on this diet before being gluten free (very strict version) and wasted away. Got so thin I stopped getting my period. I was...
  15. Brian, You need to get your lyme test from Igenex labs. Most docs just do the test that shows for lyme up to 6 wks after exposure. There are other tests you need. If you have candida make sure you are taking probiotics with your bactrim and probably should be taking an antifungal with it as well. You could try natural ones or there is also Dyflucan and...
  16. Food for Life brown rice wraps and Against the Grain rolls and baguettes. Both at whole foods.
  17. To the first women who posted. What kind of bladder issues did you have with the candida. I have what they call intersicial cystitis (causes pain, frequency and sometimes burning). I believe in my gut that it is actually candida overgrowth. Any thoughts?
  18. I would suspect that all those antibiotics have depleated him of good bacteria in his gut. This in turn would lead to candida overgrowth and can adversely effect the immune system. Put him on a high quality potent probiotic (contains needed good bacteria for the gut).
  19. Try Garden of Eatin and Bearitos organic corn chips. No worry of cross-contamination.
  20. Congratulations!! I work with pregnant women and newborns in their homes offering support and info. for Early Head Start. I am also a lactation counselor. If you have any questions at all feel free to pm me anytime you like. I also have an 11 year old of my own. It is recomended that you avoid raw dairy and raw sushi while pregnant. Absolutely do not...
  21. Ditto above. Only use Natura care or seventh generation organic tampons!!
  22. My son just got tested. While with me for half the week ( I am divorced) he eats almost wheat free because I am gluten free. At his dad's he eats lots of gluten (half the week). Will this mess up his test results?? He did eat pizza the night before.
  23. Your doc is so wrong. You have to be eating gluten for those tests to show anything. You'll have to eat gluten and get tested or you could get a stool test through Enterolabs which you can be gluten free for. Do you feel better gluten free? That may be enough answer for you. You could try it again and see if you have a reaction.
  24. Myself and others on here have mentioned that sorghum causes issues.
  25. Brian - What did you mean by probiotics should be the right human strain?
