ARCHIVED Odd Findings In Toilet (Help?! - Warning, Gross)
1desperateladysaved replied to Waitingindreams's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Once or twice I saw a white swimming creature in the toilet he was 1/2 inch long with a tail. I looked it up on the internet and there was such a thing! I was taking a supplement made with the herb thyme My suggestion is do a stool test to check for yeast/parasites. The form of treatment depends on if you have them and what kind. After the test is... -
ARCHIVED Contact Rash From Gluten
1desperateladysaved replied to srall's topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis
I have been dealing with contact rashes (not from gluten) I diffused some frankincense oil which spared my face. The face broke out one morning and it looked like poison ivy. Redness was everywhere and puffiness in trails. My wrist broke out in the rash a couple of days later. The same substance caused both rashes. I put my face in the stream coming... -
ARCHIVED Severe Eczema On Hands
1desperateladysaved replied to BlessedMommy's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I don't, but I have been known to give recipes and notes for free. The book I use is The Natural Soap Book : Making Herbal and Vegetable-Based Soaps. By Susan Miller Cavitch The base is coconut, olive and palm oil and lye turns it to soap. If you add the right essential oil and perhaps some shea butter; it will sooth that sore skin. One can watch a... -

ARCHIVED Is It A Gluten Problem
1desperateladysaved replied to sillyacting's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
You are on the right track learning about it. It seems overwhelming now, but you'll make your way through it. You will be very thankful when you feel better. Hang in there through the start. The rewards can be great. Okay? -
We heavily discussed my having celiac, special diet in an appointment I had with a medical caregiver. I was sent home with a printout that said to consume whole wheat for to make my health good. One more thing. I asked they not use KY jelly. Whether it was unpurpose or inadvertant, I can't say. However, lets just say that something tells me that they...

ARCHIVED I Tried To Message Gottaski But
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
Thanks, I am 2+ years gluten free and facing a colonoscopy, so why not do the endoscopy at the same time? I had decades, ( if not a lifetime of damage), so I expect it to take a long while. Though I am well, I am still in transition with feelings of constant healing, but still have some tenderness in the intestine at least at times. I could see if I could... -
The doctor just told me that DEXA scan may not be covered for every celiac. She seemed unimpressed to hear a doctor told me my bone mass was nill when I was 25 years old. I had 30+ years of celiac. I will call my insurance and find out, but anyone know of general guidelines?

ARCHIVED I Tried To Message Gottaski But
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
I guess I thought you were the one that did 3 annual endoscopies. I noticed a couple of endoscopy threads that I wondered if you could help with. Oh, yeah one thread seemed to be saying there would be no damage left after 2 years gluten free. I have no idea where that thread was anymore. Another thread finally has some answers now. Thanks. -

Once in a while I just like to try to catch the attention of someone I think can help with a thread. As for my mailbox, I will soon not be receiving mail, because I can't part with so many messages from the last 2 years! -
ARCHIVED Help: I Need Vegetable Substitutes And Seed/nut Subs.
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks, Most lettuce I can't do. Zucchini is out too. Anything that I was eating, I seem to have a problem with. Spinach I can do and kale. There may be other greens I would tolerate. I just tried Water Cress and that worked. I think I saw jicama at the store. I had never seen that before, so I am planning to buy some. I do coconut water milk... -
ARCHIVED Is This Sleepiness Normal?
1desperateladysaved replied to Georgia-guy's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have heard other people connecting gluteney foods to nap time. I just know that I could have taken a nap nearly anytime when I ate gluten. I also fell suddenly fell asleep in the midst of things. Dee -

ARCHIVED At A Loss; Constant Stomach Pain Continues
1desperateladysaved replied to KnightRobby's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I am feeling like I am allergic to all of the foods I added back into my diet. I get a cramping pain after eating and reactions are lasting 4 days. One food at a time seems to be the culprit. Is that the sort of thing you mean? I felt best (and I still am feeling better and better) while eating foods that I didn't have antibodies to. I am going back... -
ARCHIVED Questions To Use To Interview A Gi Doctor
1desperateladysaved posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
We all know that some GI doctors don't know about celiac. What are some questions that can be used to weed them out? What is celiac? Is an occasional cheat okay? How many biopsy's do you take of the small intestine for an endoscopy? Anyone have more? Dee -
ARCHIVED Colonscopy To Dx Celiac After 2 Years Gluten Free?
1desperateladysaved replied to Shantess's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Will endoscopy always be negative in two years? I still feel my body is in transition, feel some pain in the top of the small intestine. I am also due for a colonoscopy and am wondering if they should do an endoscopy while they are at it. Dee -
ARCHIVED Test Results - Was Celiac Really Ruled Out?

ARCHIVED Is It A Gluten Problem
1desperateladysaved replied to sillyacting's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
From reading I certainly think this could be celiac. How about having that tested? The only things ya got to lose is some blood, and some horrible symptoms. Wishen you well as you begin your journey. The diagnosis is the first hurdle, jump it! I can't answer for myself about the pins and needles, so I will leave that one to someone else that had... -
ARCHIVED Test Results - Was Celiac Really Ruled Out?
1desperateladysaved replied to Frankys Mum's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Greetings and welcome: The first endoscopy listed, was that intestinal? Okay, because I read villi, if intestinal villi are blunt and slender; isn't that "scalloped." If one has scalloped villi, doesn't the doctor often say even before the biopsy is complete that it is celiac? If it wasn't intestinal please clarify as necessary to hold to the subject... -
ARCHIVED The Evil Gluten - My Story And Road To Recovery
1desperateladysaved replied to eluvsphish's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Incredible story, so glad it led you here. I am using natural medicine as an integral part of my care. I began my undeniable symptoms with mono. I tested negative after 3 months, but couldn't seem to shake the fatigue. We suffered about as long. So, glad your son won't have to. Dee -
ARCHIVED Has This Ever Happened To You From Salt?
1desperateladysaved replied to Newtoitall's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Me too. The magnesium stearate added to salt to prevent clumping is usually made from corn. I have talked with a company who manufactures salt. They would not confirm they used corn in the product, but emphatically stated they didn't claim it was corn free. I had bloated up and gotten fatigued months back when I had accidently purchased salt with... -
I recently had my thyroid checked and some results were on the borderline low. The nurse asked me to recheck in some amount of time, but I forgot how long. . Suddenly I find myself with an MD appointment next Monday, so I may need to know by then. It's Friday evening and too late to ask the nurse. I would be interested if anyone noticed this in a recent...

ARCHIVED Where To Go Next
1desperateladysaved replied to strings's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I use to have eczema. I remember that the MD could give me cream that would take it away, BUT it would come back with a vengeance as soon as I stopped. I begged to be told what causes it, but it was a complete mystery to them. My eczema went away in my 20's when I got the nutrients I needed in supplement form and used my own homemade soap. If you haven...
