  1. I am just about 2 years into this two. I still continue a feeling of great transition! I heard once that you need 1 year for recovery for every 10 years sick. I am not sure that is true or not, but it helped me make sense of my transitional feeling this far into it. I need to give it another year at the least. I still have longings like to get feeling...
  2. Get the pathology report on your tests. If you care to post it here, do . Sometimes the doctor misses the celiac in it. Infact that is occurring surprisingly often here.
  3. Look into it, isn't this a phase 1 presentation of celiac with lymphocytes and inflammation being present? IT is my thought that you caught it early before the damage to the villi is major, or they may just have took the biopsy's from a healthier place. I still am trying to think of the name of the scale that phase 1 refers to. Aside from looking it up...
  4. Survived. I may or may not blog about it one soon day.
  5. Here on prep day! I had the big D even before taking one prep. I think it may have been fructose intolerance because I drank a lot of coconut water!
  6. If I am reading this correctly, I understand that you have flattened duodenum. I don't know how that could be deemed normal. The duodenum, I believe, should have villi, fingerlike projections, not a flat surface. Perhaps you should get clarification from the pathologist, or ask your provider about it. If it were me, I would take the report and get a second...
  7. Quite possibly I suffered from celiac all of my life. I say 30+ years since I am older than that and can recall bloating and fatigue beginning undeniably at age 19 after a bout with mono-nucleosis. I have been working with my physicians to relieve my symptoms naturally and attempting to get to the roots of problems and solve them since realizing I had a gluten...
  8. Hoping the insomnia will go away and you won't need to! I believe there have been threads about insomnia. Dee
  9. Glad to hear all of the good news!
  10. Until your villi heal enough to do their job of telling the pancreas when to fire. I believe my functional nurse said that and also it would take an estimated 3- 6 months. For me, it has been a year, but I had the levels tested with a stool test and can "afford to skip them" once in a while. The right kind of stool test can help to determine if they are...
  11. Happy for you! I hope you will continue to live on feeling healthy. Dee
  12. I was told to find my own medicines when I could not have the ones the doctor ordered! One pharmacist referred me back to the doctor. Thankfully, I discovered a pharmacist that truly helped me to find safe alternatives that I could have. Another She told me what dosages to take and a procedure to use!
  13. I am glad that I am learning how to keep healthy. It surprises me how people have been provided to help me when I need them. Yesterday, I had a friend that is a pharmacist to help. I get extra help from my healthcare providers, so many people want to see me succeed. I am glad that my family see my example of discipline and dying to self. Also my...
  14. I would say, "Sweet dreams," but am thinking that I hope that you will get helpful information from it instead.
  15. I take my probiotics right away in the morning on an empty stomach. I did experience some gassiness and bloating when I first began with L-Salivarius, but I was still eating gluten at the time. I have been rechecked and while at first and second checks I had no growth of good bacteria found, but the most recent check did find a mixed growth of good...
  16. This is from a functional Medicine standpoint by a physician that can also write prescriptions. My son had h/pylori and took Alina 500 mg 1/2 tab (adult 1 tab) every 12 hours for 3 days. We followed that with Paracid Forte an herbal product. I recall they mentioned another that may have been more specific for H Pylori; however since I had the Paracid Forte...
  17. My last one got set next to the car on trash day. YOU guessed it, it got tossed in the can. For once someone took initiative to pick up "trash." HOLD ON to your car ovens. I have noticed that it helps to spray a bit of water inside when it is time to heat up. It helps it heat more evenly or faster. Enjoy! I prefer one thing that heats only and keep...
  18. I make soap. There can be wheat germ in it. I carry my own soap in a tin to avoid using public bathroom soaps. One of my daughter's skin reacts when she uses public bath soap; so did mine the last time I did. My hands get white and purple splotches. I am not absolutely certain wheat causes the problem in every case as there can be many ingredients used...
  19. I am living without any sweetener. After a while without sugar fruit and even vegetables have sweetness. I have dealt with yeast, but am over it. You can PM me if you want to hear more about how I avoid sugar. Dee
  20. I have done it. Too bad, I found I didn't tolerate nuts and nearly all known vegetables. If I find nuts or seeds I will tolerate, I would be back on. I felt really good on this diet. It kept me full and I wasn't tired. One can eat some fruit for carbsl. I still stick to their instructions how to soak beans and their advice about hard to digest vegetables...
  21. I did take Ferritin. My levels had been low( even though I was supplementing) before going gluten free. I believe that the gluten free diet and digestive enzymes were a key for me to get them. When the ferritin level came up, I could breath better. A pressure I felt in my head went away. Dee
  22. I am glad you figured it out. I would suggest checking in with a Functional Medicine doctor who can possibly suggest supplements that can help your body heal rather than drugs to suppress symptoms. Dee
  23. JaneDoe, What is the doctor wrong about? Perhaps the newer diet?
  24. I took this to mean that that Jane Doe continued to eat a normal diet rather than adopting a gluten free one. If a celiac is not conforming to the diet they can expect sooner or later to have one or more of 300 symptoms. Yes, see a doctor, but while you are waiting, learn about and follow the gluten free diet. This diet may seem hard, but eating gluten...
  25. Oddly enough (in spite of not tolerating many foods) I can eat eggs and strawberries! These are great gifts for me.
