  9. My chiropractor told me to take about 1 Tbsp good fats (butter, coconut oil, or olive oil) with each meal. Fat helps one to get full and stay full for hours. I am doing SCD diet. I find the grain free food very filling. I make pancakes with 1 cup nuts 1 cup water (Or coconut milk) and two eggs. Put in 1/4 tsp baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt. Almond...
  10. My dentist actually figured I had an auto-immune disease 5 years before my diagnosis. Your note makes me wonder if all of those kids with teeth that look like that have celiac. Surely, they should be checked. Keep on taking care of your children! Dee
  11. Find help that you trust. Be tested for celiac using a full celiac panel. You must be eating gluten for that. Work on healthy living. You can move in the right direction toward better health. You may need aids such as digestive enzymes, but I would find someone that knows about the weight loss surgery and how to be as healthy as possible after it. ...
  12. When I mess up, I try to keep in mind that I am not back to square one and will continue to gain ground if I stay careful. Sometimes my lowest lows were followed by my highest highs. Dee
  13. I actually think that even feeling worse is a good reaction. I think it is because your body is actually working on healing. I know it isn't comfortable, but many times I found my highest highs shortly followed after my lowest lows. After a real long time traveling the opposite way, you have traveled one month in the right direction! I am sure you...
  14. Great job, I see several possibilities from that list. Basically, the veges I don't tolerate are: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, parsley, onion family, squash, pumpkin, green beans, peas. Got to go, do you get the idea that it is all the common vegetables in the Midwest?

  17. Any ideas of books that talk about coping with many food intolerances? I ate practically everything in the coops produce section while experiencing leaky gut. 18. I had 4 days of bliss after going gluten free. After that I experienced what I now believe was cross contamination issues and felt awful. I next discovered I was dealing with many more intolerances and as I cut those foods out and added enzymes, my mind cleared. Not to say this is the recipe to everyone's success, but to say the layers of problems can...
  19. I believe it to be a very good thought to test for celiac. It is expected that the foster parents are having trouble. Hopefully you will soon get them back when the truth is discovered.
