ARCHIVED Does Gluten Exposure Start Your Period? Help!
1desperateladysaved replied to larissav's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
You aren't by chance using soy. One friend had heavy long flows while drinking soy milk. If I have heavy flows depending on what I eat, I couldn't be sure of it yet. -
ARCHIVED Bad Handwriting - Silly Question
1desperateladysaved replied to klisja's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
This is an interesting idea for me. In school my handwriting had definite bad days. I would suddenly feel cross and my handwriting awful. Even if I tried to take control and write neatly, it looked shaky and messy. In high school I thought maybe it had to do with something I ate. By then I really strived for neatness, but I still had "those days." -
ARCHIVED My Doctor Hadn't Even Heard Of Leaky Gut!
1desperateladysaved replied to Dancer's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
That's frustrating. I am often glad that I have my own brain. I always like to get to the root of the problem, but discovered years back that most doctors don't. I hope you can really work away at the roots of your problems, but mostly that you GET BETTER. Diana -
ARCHIVED Pancreatitis And Gallbladder Disease - How Long Does It Take To Go Away?
1desperateladysaved replied to ruskintl's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I think this will help, possibly. My Functional Medicine practitioner told me that the villi in the intestine tell the pancreas to fire. When the villi are damaged, they can't do this job. The solution was to take pancreatic enzymes to help break down your food. The good news is that the villi damage is reversible. Diana -
ARCHIVED Diagnosed Just Now
1desperateladysaved replied to Josep's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I just wanted to say that I am happy that you were in the class talking about celiac! I believe the endoscopy is considered and absolute diagnosis. The above sounds like it will give ideas what else to look for. Happy for you, Diana -
" I told the doctor I'd give up anything, I so badly want an answer." Yeah, I know what you mean! I use to hold on to my bread eating with an iron hand. Eventually, I realized that I would rather not eat it, if it could help. I don't know why symptoms seem to come and go seemingly at whim. I know they do, though. I know how inconvenient it can be...

ARCHIVED Not Sure What To Do About My Kids
1desperateladysaved replied to bambino716's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I am coming from a super-sensitive view. You must do what is best for your child. Protect them in every way that you can. I would try to find someone to help you that won't make you do the challenge. Diana -
ARCHIVED I Just Need To Get This Out.... (Death Mentioned)

I hope you will get better gluten free and that one day you can assist people like your friend and your friend's children. Sometimes there just aren't any happy answers. Did you see the Newbie thread? It could help give you general information. Get well, Diana -
ARCHIVED Iv Nutrient Therapy
1desperateladysaved replied to bluedove's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
It sounds like you can't afford to have problems with cross contamination. Preventing problems is the very best way to solve it. Eat foods you prepare away from contamination worries. Once you are ill you kind of have to wait it out. Some people say that extra fluids helps once you are glutened.. I actually can't remember the last time I was ill.... -
ARCHIVED Soap Causing Abdominal Pain
1desperateladysaved replied to DreamRunner's topic in Super Sensitive People
I am a soap maker. I do not sell soap. Many soap makers use wheat germ in their formulas. I don't know if that could cause such pains, but I think some absorption takes place. You might check a craft fair for homemade soap, or learn to make it yourself as I do. My soap has: Coconut oil Olive oil Palm oil Lye (Be careful with this, gloves and... -

ARCHIVED Severe Itching In Young Toddler
1desperateladysaved replied to Bluemoments9's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
The body can appear to be reacting more forcefully as one recovers. Many of us have noted that. I think the body is less overwhelmed so we can tell when it goes out of whack. I hope you can help the little one's rash. I would keep getting more stringent watching for more and more products to be gluten free, until the itching subsides. 100 % cotton... -
ARCHIVED Glutened Or Just Paet Of Recovery?
1desperateladysaved replied to SasaMinks's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Well, I am coming from a super-sensitive celiac view. I am supposed to eat only at home. If I did have to stay at anyone's house, I would come with my own plug in electric skillet and cook outside. If it was rainy, I would set up outside of the kitchen. Not everyone is that touchy. I should clarify that most aren't. It is very easy in a gluteney kitchen... -
ARCHIVED Is Okay To Self Diagnose?
1desperateladysaved replied to freeme808's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It is okay to diagnose yourself and just go on the diet. However, there are some advantages to testing positive. The final trial is always the diet and your reaction to it. IF those around you, or you, will not accept this alone as valid, or you will ever tire of the diet and give it up, you may need to be tested until an undeniable conclusion is reached... -
ARCHIVED Glutened Or Just Paet Of Recovery?
1desperateladysaved replied to SasaMinks's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
You could try rereading the ingredients on your bacon, protein shake, and bread. If the salad had dressing check that label also. Check the Marmite label too. If you have gluten in your kitchen you could have gotten cross contamination. It is really hard to tell for awhile, because it could also be your body cleaning out old stuff, cross contamination... -

ARCHIVED Can Celiac Effect Every Part Of Your Body
1desperateladysaved replied to dek38's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I believe it only effects the tissues that need nutrients and oxygen, I recall my comment to my chiropractor just over a year ago. "Every tissue in my body feels irritated." Just think of it this way, if you villi are damaged you can't absorb nutrients. If you are not getting enough nutrients, your cells don't eat very well. This is malnutrition... -
I am coming from a super-sensitive viewpoint. Hopefully, you were not as sick for as long. I had 30 + years of undeniable symptoms. The hindsight is good. I felt better after 4 days, but lapsed into 2 or so months of withdrawal symptoms. At that point I cut out all grains and began another 3 months of withdrawal. I would focus on doing all you can...

ARCHIVED Is Eating Gluten Worth A Possible Diagnosis?
1desperateladysaved replied to aberlee's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
First, I am coming from a super-sensitive perspective. I also believe strongly that one is their own most influential health care provider. I feel the day to day care for your health is the most important thing to care for physical health. I had cut out gluten, before I found the forum. I felt a great big reaction to going gluten free. I felt awful... -

ARCHIVED Breast Feeding Issues (Low Milk Supply)
1desperateladysaved replied to Izellah's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I exclusively breast fed. I found in my experience that Fennel seemed to increase my supply. I also had the baby in my bed and sometimes they nursed all night. I know people say this is dangerous, but I think it is dangerous to sit in a chair dozing off, and to be a crab the next day after missing sleep. Once I rolled on a baby and they cried out, so...- 10 replies

ARCHIVED Partial Blood Test Results
1desperateladysaved replied to greenbeanie's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
When I had blood tests, they had excess blood. Perhaps you could have them further check without another draw. Maybe you would want to wait longer since you are continuing gluten. I know that feeling of feeling like you want celiac just to have answers. The day I got my results was bittersweet. Your symptoms are not "normal", so I hope you can get... -
