  1. Marco, Your symptoms are familiar to me, including the face feeling and catarrh. I do suspect autoimmune issues which celiac is one of many. I can't really compare which things got better with me as I'm dealing with an additional illness but many things improved or resolved completely from going gluten free. Like otherse said, I would definitely...

  3. I would not associate lone wrist pain to Celiac. If you had pain in multiple joints, that could link up. How long did you try the diet the first time? Did you have relief of symptoms then? What is your intention starting the diet again? And do you have active symptoms/issues that are leading you to think the diet will help you? These questions...
  4. Ski, IH. You two make me cry so much. Your honesty, caring, resilience and strength is a lifeline for me and your posts help people every day. I am humbled and honored to call both of you MY friends. Colleen
  5. Why are kids always getting killed and hurt in this country? I don't understand the mindset of people who...ugh. It makes me sad. Thoughts and prayers to our world to be kind. Colleen
  6. I heard a rumor that here in Ohio, Sunday was sunny and 70 degrees. Unfortunately I missed it because I was sicker than a dog. Open Original Shared Link
  7. Hey guys. Pathology from both excisions is great. Just scar tissue left and no nasty cancer cells!! I'm a seriously happy camper. MRI results should be in sometime this week but I'm pretty confident that all will be good, fingers and toes are all crossed. I got pretty run down in the last few weeks so I'm getting better from that and I'm feeling good...
  8. I'm beginning to feel like a like a scare crow. New incisions are 3" diaganol one on back and 3" vertical one on right thigh. These go wonderfully with the 2 monsters on the left leg. The back one is kinda uncomfortable but they are healing well and I get to shower today, hooray. Get this, I actually watched the doc do the one on my thigh. They propped...
  9. Thanks to all of you. Have been listening to my relaxation music and chakra meditations. It's soothing and the only thing keeping me sane. Positive thoughts are difficult. I'm having nightmares and such. I really appreciate you thoughts and prayers. Colleen

  11. I have a few updates on my cancer. I'm having 2 wide excision done Friday on 2 dysplatic Nevis. Then next Tuesday I have scans done, chest, gut and pelvis. My chest scan in December showed a 4mm Spot in my lung. This is one that scares me. I've also been having neurological issues that seem to be getting worse. My brain is selecting some kind of word...
  12. Make sure all of your medications and supplements are gluten free. Also if you get shampoo in your mouth during your shower, like I do, get a gluten free shampoo. Welcome to the healthy road in your life. You'll do great. Colleen
  13. i would go to an Endocrinologist. She can address the thyroid and cortisol levels. Don't dismiss the low cortisol as having no connection. Thyroid and cortisol control alot of hormones and this is an area for a Doctor and not a "Do it yourself" issue. Goodluck getting it all worked out. Colleen
  14. Many kudos to you Laura. That is a great accomplishment in only a year. Very happy for you. By the way, I can't stop thinking about the partridge and the tree Open Original Shared Link Colleen
  15. Thankfully I have a total notch omelet maker in house. If I didn't, those sound pretty good. Colleen
  16. 1. Life stresses will get anyone off balance for awhile. Eat right and keep your feet on the ground. 2. Recheck all your meds and supplements. 3. Start that food journal to get down to your basic foods. 4. Not all aches, pains and conditions come from celiac, there are a number of autoimmune diseases that should be treated separately along with gluten...
  17. Hooray, Karen has opened the door for those of us who can handle and like a pressed, frozen meal (taboo). I raise my hand and admit: I love Amys burritos, yup, get them all the time. I put warmed salsa on the plate then the cooked burrito then top with shredded cheese. It is my go to food when hubs is out of ideas, lol. And also, just like some people...
  18. The lymph node system is like a sewer system. They take all of the diseased, infection, toxins etc. And carry them out of your system safely. Some of the major ares of hard working nodes are under the jaw, groin, arm pits and a hugh one in the center of your chest toward the back. Inflammation and pain is a sigh that the particular node is working extra...
  19. Sitz (spelling) baths can help with bone and muscle and yes, anti inflammatory foods are great all the time. Good luck. Colleen
  20. L2T, that is so wonderful of you to adopt the rescue dog. And it sounds like a perfect match! It's great that your training early, so important. My Hubs has to shovel our back patio and a grass spot for our little yorkies or else they can't even get out the door. Congrats and is the pup sleeping in your bed yet? Colleen. 21. If it's not related to celiac, then you may have to approach your Doctor. Keeping fingers warm helps with pain along with doing finger stretches. Colleen
  22. Whole Foods Grocery is so dang expensive. When the labeling hits my local Kroger store that will be great, assuming I'm still alive at that point. Colleen

  24. So yesterday, while getting my mail, I noticed that my tulips are sprouting, about an inch out of the ground. So I'm looking around and most all of my bulbs are coming up. Now, last year, the same thing happened and everything looked puny and half dead. I'm in Ohio and temps are still below zero, mostly at night, but Ohio whether is very unpredictable...
  25. General Mills Kix does not have a gluten free label. It is most likely made on shared lines. If General Mills says gluten free it should be safe but if not labeled so you should assume there are contamination issues. This is the same for all items purchased. Colleen
