  1. I am no longer there, but was diagnosed while attending Auburn for grad school (2004)....not exactly the pinnacle of gluten free living
  2. Amy, I am happy you found what worked for you It may be a hassle...but I like to think what a small price to pay for not getting sick. (I tell myself that often! ) Depending on where I go, certain people are "certified" (ha!) to cook for me. This year we are spending it at my husband's aunt-uncle, who are great but have never cooked for me. So I...

  4. welcome to the board I love his book in relation to Celiac. It doesn't cover non-Celiac gluten intolerance, but in terms of Celiac, it is an up-to-date reference, that is esp good to share with your doctor. Open Original Shared Link (this is the Columbia University Celiac Center's page) there are links to the left once you are on that page...

  12. eating out anywhere, especially a place like Denny's, is a risk due to cross-contamination. It often depends on the specific staff. I do not eat at Denny's.
  13. Sophiekins, Thank you for such a well-written post. It makes me hopeful that there are people out there, speaking up, and trying to change things. We are so happy to have you on this board! Fiddle-Faddle, if you are looking for a written resource about this---there is one! The book in my signature, by Dr. Green, covers this all...at least in a...
  14. If you live near a whole foods, try their pizza crusts. I just moved to a larger area where there are WF and I am in absolute heaven. I have made pizzas and breadsticks...my non-gluten free parents even ate it and LOVED it. I highly recommend it if you are near one. I have made the bob's red mill bread and enjoyed it.
