  1. A biopsy won't be able to confirm Celiac after you have gone gluten free for an extended amount of time. Based on your symptoms, and your bloodwork, it would be likely that you have Celiac and gluten is a problem for you. Many of us have to eat on the go - we find safer alternatives or bring our own food. If you have Celiac, you need to go gluten...
  2. They did run the total IgA - that is the serum IgA. Based on these lab results, she is not IgA deficient. The tTG IgG is typically run when you are IgA deficient (since the IgA based tests will not be accurate). No one test is perfect, and sometimes people are only positive on the 'older' tests and not the newer tests. You may want to follow up...

  4. I take Mucinex and they are all gluten free. I hope you feel better soon, SGW.
  5. This is my least favorite answer - you may just not know what or why. There is one brand of gluten free products that I repeatedly got sick from, even though everyone else did fine, and their products were truly gluten free. I was never able to isolate the ingredient, as I ate other products with those ingredients, and was perfectly fine. I have...
  6. The ingredients have not changed, nor has the processing changed (per phone call). It was gluten free then, and is gluten free now.
  7. I've never had a problem with any McCormick's product.
  8. I would take your bloodwork results, and your biopsy report, to a new doctor for a second opinion. Preferably one that knows about Celiac.
  9. I would get a copy of the records yourself so you can see the description of the reference ranges....for both the tTG and the IgA. Its hard to interpret the tTG test if you don't know if you are IgA deficient or not.
  10. DS and celiac disease appear to be seen together. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  11. It should look okay now. Its your original post, plus MST's post, but with the new title.
  12. Take your time. Once the new one is up, it'll be pinned, and the other one will disappear.
  13. Marcia - Unfortunately, you can't change the title once its up. If you'd like to copy your post into a new one, with the correct title, I'd be happy to set the original one to invisible (delete). Let me know!
  14. This is a great book - definitely worth the read.
  15. If you were diagnosed via bloodwork and/or biopsy for Celiac Disease, it may be worth it to have your Celiac panel re-run to assess the status of your healing.
  16. The orange was just for silliness I needed something 'refreshing,' I guess. Carla, I hope you get over the flu soon. I had some cold/virus thing that is still lingering on from last week, and it is not any fun at all.
  17. Hello Sillies!!!!!!! It appears that everyone seems to be back - so many have posted today! Emily, Julie, Theresa, Janet, Bev, Judy, Carla, Susie, Tom, Bunnie, Patti, Nikki, Jess......
  18. Per a phone call this morning to Nestle, all of their hot cocoa products are gluten free.
  19. Its important to note that the product and processing may not have changed from when it said gluten free. They may have just updated their labels. (Meaning - if it was gluten free then, it would still be gluten free now). A shared facility does not mean it contains gluten. Most places are "shared" (including many homes and work environments).
  20. Authentic Foods Rye Flavoring is gluten-free.
  21. Check out the companies in these links: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.ph...c=54225&hl= It will make shopping much easier when you know how to read labels and which companies will make label reading easier.
  22. The companies can be found at these two sites: Open Original Shared Link and Open Original Shared Link You won't have to worry about natural flavors, etc., with these companies. It helps to bring the list with you when you shop. FDA Food allergern labeling laws also require that wheat be listed, and not hidden, in any product.
  23. The popcorns I have looked into in the past few years at movie theaters have all been gluten free.
