  1. I make subs just with my regular bread recipe and form sub buns on a pan with parchment paper. I just watch the cooking time and bit closer and ta-da!
  2. Luckily, homemade poptarts are incredibly easy. Take your favourite pie-dough, put homemade fresh fruit in the middle, poke a little and bake. Much tastier, healthier, and very easy!
  3. Banana Boat. Coppertone is, I believe.
  4. It is gluten-free (even though that isn't really what you're asking, I thought I would add that in there.)

  6. You can easily bring food over the border - pretty much anything except for citrus fruit (meat and plants are also a little difficult sometimes). just make sure you claim it all - I do a lot of my grocery shopping in the states and cross quite often. There are some better restaurants not right in the falls area, but as the previous poster said, those places...
  7. I don't use rice flour (I'm allergic to rice), and it isn't nutritious anyway. I use quinoa, amaranth, sorghum primarily. Buckwheat is also a good choice but I am also allergic to that.
  8. Are you just staying in the falls, or travelling elsewhere (NOTL, St. Catharines, and so on). I live in the area and can point you to some places.

  12. Hi Meline, Are you eating a balanced diet of protein, complex carbohydrates, and good fats? Eating every three hours is normal. Yes, once you start absorbing again, your body is hungry to replenish itself from malnourishment, but its important to maintain a very healthy lifestyle.
  13. Here you have to have a separate, certified kitchen. I suggest you contact the Health Dept. just to make sure of the regulations there
  14. Chickens eating oats would not cause a reaction. I am not sure about the mushrooms - I highly doubt it though.
  15. I have McCormick's cayenne pepper, so perhaps they were just sold out or you can find it at another grocer.
  16. Hello! That is my recipe and I have substituted it ground nuts, but also have omitted the flax and reduced the liquid slightly. PM me if you have any other questions, ever!
  17. Fresh tofu is gluten-free, as long as it's not seasoned or pre-marinated.
  18. I don't know if they have Piller's in BC (it's from Ontario), but they list all allergens on their site, and nearly all are gluten-free.
  19. If it is just the acid in the tomatoes, try making bbq sauce with yellow tomatoes.
  20. Thanks for the comments about my bread Due to copyright restrictions, please note that recipe can be found in my book "Mission in the Kitchen". I posted it on recipezaar before the book came about. Auntie Lurlynn - let me know if you have any questions!
  21. Rice vinegar can have gluten, actually. I was in the Asian mart the other day and picked up a Lee Kum Kee sauce, and they list ingredients... It said, "Rice Vinegar (contains wheat) in something... I think plum sauce. I was surprised!
  22. A calcium rich diet is what they mean. They say dairy for the norm because that is easy for people to understand.
