I apologize if I stole this recipe from someone on this site. I did a quick look back, and I didn't see it here. I printed it off of Emeril's site. Such an easy recipe and able to be adapted for any celebration - or snacktime. Ingredients - 12 cups plain, unbuttered, unsalted popcorn (POPPED) 16 oz marshmallows 1/4 c. veg. oil 1 cup lightly...

My Mom is the Christmas Master! Every Christmas is wonderful. Especially when we were little and the presents never seemed to end --- and we could eat all the sugar cookies we painstakingly decorated in the days before. My best Christmas memories are ... ...eating Christmas Eve dinner on the floor next to the tree in the dim family room with the...

All Woodchuck flavors are gluten-free - many bars have it in bottles - even if they don't have it on tap (avoids the CC issue!) Even with it on tap, I've never had a problem. Strongbow too! Enjoy!

ARCHIVED Need To Make Mom's Roast gluten-free
amybeth posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
My mom's Christmas Roast Beef is a common recipe, but I've had no luck finding a CONDENSED cream of mushroom soup - and don't know how to convert the recipe using Non-condensed. Please help! It's a basic recipe in which you take the roast, wrap in foil, cover/rub with dry onion soup mix, and condensed cream of mushroom soup and then bake. Any pointers... -

I buy the prepackaged apple sauces for kids lunches, b/c I teach, I can eat one quickly in a few bites between classes, and it ties me over -- a few jelly belly jelly beans, string cheese, yogurt (with soy nuts on top - my version of the yoplait mixes since I can't have the granola or cookie crisps) Most of the time, I tend to crave crunch so...

I'd say it's an upscale TGIF. They have items for kids (chicken fingers, etc.) and server items ranging from large portioned salads to steak. The location in Langhorne is cozy - brick interior, darker lighting, but they have booth seating and a casual atmosphere. It's pretty good. Don't know how I typed "se" in the subject line here - it's supposed...

Dora the Explorer's cereal is supposed to be gluten free -- I think it's Dora's Stars or something like that. It's cinnamon flavored. Perky-O's are good, although $$, and they are gluten free. (gluten-free version of cheerios - frosted, apple cinnamon varieties available) maybe veggies and fruits? raisins? trail mixes with gluten-free ingredients... -
JB Dawsons is a restaurant w/ 4 locations in Southeast PA: Plymouth Meeting, PA. Langhorne, PA Drexel Hill, PA. Austin's Restaurant & Bar in West Lawn (Reading), PA. I was there tonight trying to explain my restrictions, and the server told me they have a gluten free menu. He said it was new - I'm not sure, but I ate BBQ chicken, great baked...

Mom2Ryan, you took the words right out of my mouth. I am a teacher in PA. "Homebound" instruction is offered for students on extended suspensions and for medical absences. A doctor's note explaining his inability to attend school is required. Students receive 1 hour per content area each week with a qualified teacher. IE as a teacher certified in... -
ARCHIVED Cheese Whiz And Cream Of Mushroom Soup
amybeth posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I know Progresso and Kraft will list gluten in ingredients list, but I'm trying to save time as I'm in the midst of moving while my mom is making plans for Thanksgiving. Don't have time for full label-reading grocery shopping - only the essentials.... She has a terrific brocolli bake recipe (i can post after the move YUM!), but it calls for cream of mushroom... -
This new bride needs some help.....quick and easy dinners (30 min?) that will not drain my wallet, please. Before we were married my husband used to work nights, so I would fend for myself for dinner, but now he's working more and more days, which means suddenly I find myself needing to make "real" meals. instead of just grabbing an apple and yogurt....

ARCHIVED Pf Chang's Now Open In Princeton Nj
amybeth replied to lpellegr's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Ate there on Wednesday night (in Princeton!) -- everything was great and I even ordered some for take out for lunch the next day. Fantastic. If you're in that area.......there's a Cheeburger Cheeburger across from Quakerbridge Mall. They have a "build your own salad" that is filling -- and they will wipe down the milkshake machines to make a "safe... -
I have eaten at Bugaboo 3-4 times since the gluten-free menu came out without any problems. Last week I stopped in - ordered something I had had before and specified to the waitress that I needed it prepared gluten free. She said, it is a gluten free item. I explained that I needed her to tell the kitchen that I needed it prepared that way and that they...

ARCHIVED Help Please (boy I Need A Lot Of It)
amybeth replied to STINGER's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Cross contamination -- grrrrrrr. I live about 20 min. from my folks, so I stop by often. They keep a separate gluten-free butter, peanut butter, and mayo at the house, so I can use them if I need to. That way, there's no crumbs leftover to "get" me! Tinkyada Rice Pasta is the best I've tried and kinnikinnick sandwich bread is great. If you live... -
El Azteca is a Mexican place that is relatively low in $$ if you want to eat out in the city. Their tortilla chips are not cooked in a dedicated fryer, so NOT gluten-free, but their enchiladas aren't bad. If you have some extra $$ I have eaten without incident at Bridget Foy's on South Street, Sabrina's near the Italian Market, and someone here posted...

ARCHIVED Starbucks Gluten-free Cookie?
amybeth replied to MySuicidalTurtle's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Emailed Starbucks re: cookie -- got a standard form email in response encouraging me to contact "my" store. I guess they think people are loyal to one particular Starbucks and wouldn't dare enter one in another city or state........ Sorry, but I've tried and tried to get straight answers from them and they are just frustrating. I've tried corporate... -
I went to Hershey about a month ago -- I started a thread in late June when I was planning the trip. I did not eat in the park - but had also called their food services dept. and they were very helpful on the phone. THey got in touch with me within 24 hours after I left a message. If you'd like to know of places to eat outside of the park, you can...
