I really really really would love to have a GOOD Gluten Free Bagel. Ideally one that is good untoasted, but if toasted is the only edible way, I'll go with it. Does anyone have any recommended yummy bagels? I posted in products b/c I would prefer store bought...but recipes would be helpful too.

ARCHIVED Alaskan Cruise Experiences
amybeth replied to jramfischer's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
We honeymooned in July 2007 to Alaska with Royal Carribbean. During our evening meals, the waiter would go through the menu with me and explain the items I could have. I experienced no CC issues throughout the trip. I was VERY careful with the lunch buffet and packed some things for my breakfast, because the buffet set up made me nervous, but if I had... -
Today, we had family over to watch the Eagles beat the Giants (Yippee!), and we served up some turkey chili. It just simmered on the stove all afternoon and was very good! Easy, too! 1 lb ground turkey about 1 c. of vegetables (we used green pepper and onion) Throw in a pan until turkey is browned, drain Add in: 1 can (14 oz?) diced tomatoes...

I thought chocolate covered potato chips were gross --- until I tried them. The sweet and salty combo is delish --- think chocolate covered pretzels, but slightly different. -

Everyone has great suggestions...I'm getting hungry!!! How about: Fruit dip made with strawberry cream cheese, marshmallow fluff and kool whip buffalo chicken dip with celery, fritos, and corn tostitos (dip reheats well in microwave if you prep ahead) Chocolate covered potato chips (ruffle variety works best) and glutino pretzels -- add sprinkles... -

I have completed cycles on clomid and Menopur (injections) with no adverse reactions (re: gluten) --- although I was suspect of the progesterone and the possibility of a slight reaction to that. I also used ovadril on at least 4 cycles with no problems. I'm transitioning between dr's right now, but I'll be calling re: the progesterone before we start... -

ARCHIVED Ice Cream Cakes?
amybeth posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Anyone know if there are "mainstream" ice cream cakes that are gluten-free? My mother would like to serve one at an upcoming birthday celebration, but doesn't want to "gluten" me. I think you can order them without the crunchies in between the layers, but I don't know where to go...Baskin Robbins? Carvel? Cold Stone Creamery? We're located in... -

How are you doing with your quitting?! I went cold turkey 7 years ago. Cannot believe how much better I feel. It was rough (and I did gain weight!) - but it was STILL worth it. Even now - all these years later - I still occassionally have a craving - in particular when I am stressed, but I just keep telling myself that I've held off all this time...

Vitamin D has seemed to help my energy level -- but I have no idea if that is a typical result. Fruits and veggies also seem to give me a little pep sometimes.

I have eaten there - so cute! Very family-oriented feel to the place. It's not too far into Jersey if you're coming from the Ben Franklin Bridge - maybe 10 minutes. When I was there, I didn't even notice the gluten-free Option --- so upset now that I missed it! But I DID have an amazing meal of hashbrowns and over easy eggs w cheese--- I forget the... -
