Hey John, good to meet you----
We all have alot of ups and down as we travel through Celiacland. Since you have been gluten free for ll years, I would suggest that you get a full blood work-up to see where you are are regards to your nutrients in and out of your body.
And are you taking in as many calories as you are burning. When your body tells you to slow down, it's telling you something. Look into that.
If you have other questions there are a bunch of people her that most likely will have the answer for you.

I use B&M....add
chopped onions
chopped gr. peppers
brown sugar
prepared mustard
worchester sauce
little tabasco
chopped raw bacon
bake until bubbly or when it spills all over your oven

7-up and pepsi are gluten free.
I presently drink 7-up and Seagrams 7 with no problems. Since you have not had any drinks in a while, try just a splash - no strong and see you can deal with it.

This is so strange that this post popped up again. I am post medipep. for at least six years and within the last five days, I have breast tenderness and have been very snappy. I have know idea why at this point in my life. I am taking no hormones at all for six years. Just me and my bod.
B., try taking a fertility test., or perhaps you may have done so.

I totally agree, buying pants are a nightmare. I was once a 14 pant size because of my belly. My legs are very thin as well as my arms. I have NO butt and get backaches when I sit on chairs for any length of time. Now I am a size six, just for my belly. If I would be a size 2 if it were not be for my belly. If I could twist my torso around, I could have a fairly good figure. My belly is bigger than my butt.
You do tend to loose body fat on your butt and your feet as well. I wake up every morning with leg aches because I also have no padding on my feet. I wear a 9 1/2 tripply slim.....try finding shoes

Just answered to the other post and it was zapped.
Mario (sp) black olives in the can are gluten free. I don't trust salad bars, too hard to check in to.

Hey Mom:
For me it is very typical after D to have constipation. Brain fog, lack of concentration, in lah-lah-land while driving, which is scarry for me. I would certrainly entertain testing. It would be important to know, so if you are celiac, you can begin to feel better and to ward off other very critical issues.
Glad that you posted and feel free to ask away.

You're not dumb Lisa--it's so easy to put something in the fridge, and before you know it, months have gone by! It happens to me more times than I care to admit. Not like we have nothing else to think about
The trick is to remember to check the dates if you can't remember the last time you used something. Hope you feel better fast!
000 to you patti. Tomorrow is another day.

Sometimes, people just need time to heal before introducing new products. As Jen say's, perhaps Lister should go back to the basics and then begin a food journal.

Went out to lunch with my daughter. I ordered a salad with no dressing, as I brought my Maries creamy ranch (which I looked up on the delfi list before I went). Of course, having a wonderful lunch.... I glanced at the expiration date and it was Jan - 05!!!
I am sooo tired now and I want to sleep, but my stomach noises are keeping me awake.
Don't ya think that I need to clean out my refridgerator!!!!!

I apparently looked sick. Now I have people comming up to me saying how much better I look. I know that everyone thought that I was anorexic. Too bad they didn't tell me when I looked sick, they just told each other.

As Chair, at a public meeting, I hit the gavel and called the meeting adjourned....I was OPENING UP THE MEETING. I am surprized that everyone did not get up and go home before it even started. All my fellow commissioners laughed at me after the meeting. I had no clue.
And I forget things all the time. My house looks like a post-it ad.

Perhaps you were thinking of Maltdextrin....key word malt. (but not 100% possitive on that, so don't rely on my info)...No....... Maltdextrin is ok, but Malt is not. That was one of my early facts. After a year, sometimes I forget what I have learned and have to do it over again. Repetitive, repetitive, repetitive is truely my way of life.
I go through the Delfi List about once a week just to refresh myself or I get slack and make some mistakes.
I DO know that M& Ms are wonderfully gluten free, except for the crispy ones, as stated.

Sweet Baby Ray's is the best that I have ever tasted, but it is a matter of taste, afterall. But, I love the stufff and we have it about once a week.

I have been gluten free for a full 7 days now (big accomplishment
) and on day 4 I started feeling a little better, days 5 and 6 were great, but here on day 7 I feel like crap. My muscles ache, my sinus problems are back, and my brain doesn't seem to work.
I expected a wait of at least a year before feeling 100%, but didn't expect a set back.
Now the question, is this normal? do you think I am coming down with the flu or something?
Maybe I am freaking out over nothing. (I do that a lot)
oh, I know 100% sure that I didn't get glutened today.
It seems to have hit me all at once though, 2 hours ago I was fine, and now I am......well.... yucky and achey and blech.
I can't tell you how hard it is to be TOTALLY gluten free in the beginning. It's almost like you have to crawl in a hole and eat fruits and nuts. I have been trying to be gluten free since August and I have made so many goofs. Most of them dinning out. Lipstick is still a challenge for me, because the ingrediance listings are so damn small that no one can read them, then they are in chemical language. That I depend on references here on the site.
There will be many ups and downs. We all have to be a master of our craft. But, I have to say that this weekend, I got really angry at my disability. We went to a wonderful wedding reception and it was catered by the best restaurant around. As I check with the chef, there were only a few options for me. The food that I passed up was to die for. I can live in my own little kitchen and cook wonderful food, as I love experimenting and enjoy quality food, but sometimes, I just get pissed off. I get mad at me, I get mad at my situation, as I know this is for life, and that pisses me off. I just get angry.
I know that this is also a state of mind, but don't some of you just get angry sometimes, when you have to detail your consumtion day after day after day.......
I may be off post, I don't even remember what the post was, sorry,......... Lisa

At the 20 days to the wedding is counting down.....I have asked our caterer to prepare the meat with my requirements and spices, as well as the salmon. We will have cheeses and pate's That is enought for me to eat. The guests will have various breads and crackers. To be totally gluten free for 300 would be very difficult. But,. I know that I will have certain foods that will be safe for me to eat, especially, since I forking the bill. I will be happy with that.
The cake, I will not have as with will be traditionally gluten and for my guests. No big deal, for me, the mother of the bride.
Just select a few things that you would like to enjoy and make sure they are gluten free.
Our rehearsal dinner, grooms parents... the chef will contact me and I am going to supply them with gluten free soy sauce and whatever I need to have a meal that is safe. Unfortunately, life will not be the same, but it also can be worked out with planning.
20 days, OMG

Hey babe:
With gluten free new to you, I just wanted to make sure that you have gluten free shampoo, soap, lotions, some makeups....all can make you sick.
I know that someone here, (I am sorry that I cant remember..please forgive me, again) has a newbie kit that will get you started on our road to gluten free.
Also, I cannot to this, but there is a Delfi Forum List that someone can e-mail to you that has a list of gluten free PRODUCTs, by name.
The forum is usually quiet on the weekends.
Post as request for the Delfi Forum Product List and the Newbe Survival Kit and someone will get back to you very soon. That will be the most helpful to you as you are just beginning.
Remember, It is all doable, Lisa
