    ARCHIVED My Brother

I guess you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink,
  2. When I had my endo and biopsy, almost two years ago, I felt no pain from the biopsy whatsoever. I did have a raw throat for a day or two. I felt no internal discomfort at all. Don't worry about that at all. Many others don't even have a soar throat. The internal nerves are not the same, as in hemoroids, you can't feel them and only know when some blood...

    ARCHIVED My Brother

I wonder if he told this doctor that he has a twin with gluten intolerance? Jerry, I swear, ya gotta get him on this site. That would be the fix, well, it may take some time as apparently you share the same scepticism. Let us at'um
  4. This sound like the ones my grandmother used to make and she called them schamtortes. My all time favorite as well. Like Patti mentioned, strawberry season is around the corner. She also used cream or tarter.
  5. Many times your poo reflect what you have been eating. Perphap the black specs you are seeing is the brocolli or similar textured food that you ate for dinner.
  6. Jenny, I am sure that you will ask all the right questions. Take a note pad with your questions so that you don't forget what to ask.
  7. Margaret: It's all of everything. Wow, that is a darn good question. I guess when you are aware of your restrictions and apply them well. When you continue in your diligence and feel comfortable walking in your shoes. Maybe, when it's when you forget that you have a disability and learn that you have abilities. Maybe when your focus is on...
  8. Jerry, You definately have the creative gene. I thing Bro needs to join us. What do ya thnk? And a jury to see who is the better looking twin, hah (as self-professed by you). We could do a poll..Smart, smarter, dumb or dumber
  9. I believe that Wendy's has a list of gluten free items on their website. Assumingly www.Wendy's.com.
  10. For goodness sake..... Gloria is talking about a children's Easter Egg Hunt and a nice guy named Frank. Frank gets a cheer from me. And Gloria, I hope your daughter has a marvelous time. Happy Easter!

    ARCHIVED Hardee's

I suspect that you couldn't find any gluten free information on Hardee's is that there is none. Wendy's though, has several items to select from. This risk of cross contamination is always a concern at fast food places.
  12. Yes, let the fun begin. My girls are adults now but I can sure remember. At age 10 and female, all the girls are attempting to be on the top of the pile, at all cost. Friends get betrayed, talking behind your back and no regard for feelings. Then the herd mentality kicks in. If you're out with one, baby, you're out with all. It's an awful, awful time...
  13. I have found that when my digestive system is compromised, it is difficult to digest beef. It's harder to break down than other foods. I suspect that it is an intolerance. Afer healing, perhaps you could reintroduce beef and see how it goes.
  14. Jello is gluten free, but I have not heard of Jello-Lite. I have heard of Sugar-Free Jello, and I would assume that it is also gluten free.
  15. What a wonderful resource you are Peter. Thank you for your time. It is much appreciated.!
  16. Hawk Fire does have a point. Your son has tested positive by blood work. That should be a diagnosis in itself. The endo may not be necessary. What are the reasons for requesting the endoscopy? Perhaps there is more questions your doctor may have. If , by blood work, he is positive for Celiac. He does have Celiac. And you can begin the gluten free...
  17. Welcome Randy: This is a great place to learn about Celiac. First, don't rush off any by gluten free foods yet. (I still have some I bought when I was first dx'd almost two years ago). Try to stick to naturally gluten free foods such as, meats, seafood, rice, potatos, fresh veggies, eggs and fruit. The diet is not difficult and with a little...
  18. I did the out patient. They gave me something to knock me out and went to sleep. I had no probems and would do it again with ease if needed. Child or adult, I was assume to proceedure would be the same.
  19. Glad you found us as well. Welcome. First, know that eating gluten free is much healthier than not. Five and a half is a wonderful age to teach her to eat well and healthy. Hidden Valley Ranch is not gluten free, but Kraft Ranch is. And m&m's are my snack food of choice. (but not the crunchy m&m's) Next question? Feel free to chat...
  20. BF Welcome, I'm glad that this information was helpful to you. Personally, I had some small aches and pains and a chronic backache for years, but certainly not to the level as your husband. I can attest that there are many here that are no longer in need of their wheelchair. Be hopeful. I am sure that others will post shortly. (it's always slow around...
  21. Yes, a GP can order or take the blood work, but make sure he knows what and how many to test for. I am sure that someone will post the correct test soon. This place is pretty slow on the weekend.
  22. Peter just posted a new thread that lists the recalled pet food. It was great for him to do this for us.
  23. To my knowledge vanillin and Heinz are both gluten free.
