  1. 22 and 18.....my oh my, you must have been a very bad ten year old.
  2. Thanks Laura and Tarnelberry...it is clearer. This is tough stuff to understand.
  3. If it were me, I would buy myself a $10.00 toaster for myself - the risk is way too much.
  4. A first time post and you give us a treat. Thanks and welcome.
  5. I think this is very strange. I never liked beer, pasta or breads (except for a few that had cheese and olives and other stuff). Eating pasta was like eating glue = flour and water Another reason to listen to our bodies.
  6. mp welcome: You need to check out your Teflon pans and make sure that they are not scratched up, gluten can hide there waiting for you. I thew away all my wooden spoons and got metal or rubber and a wash in the dish washer cleans them well enough. A separate toaster is a must. You can't clean out gluten crumbs from a shared toaster. All my meals...
  7. Yellow poop is a clear sign for me that gluten has got a hold of me.
  8. Hey Babe - You only go around once. Pack up the felines and go. It's a world away from me but I understand it is incredibly beautiful.
  9. Sorry, I got so distracted by what you GI guy wrote on your chart... Pepsi, Coke are gluten free. Several people react to the caramel color, I do not.
  10. Welcome It took a long time to do damage to your intestines and it will take some time to repair. Please make sure that you have checked your shampoos, lotions, lip wear or anything that could get into your mouth. Nail biting is a good case for hidden gluten. Some medications use gluten as a binder. I don't know whether licking envelopes is still...
  11. Flour can be inhaled through you nose and end up in the mucus and thus swallowed. The corn starch would not be an issue, but yes, the flour could. Perhaps you need to pinpoint the dust, or when you walk the flood, wear a mask.
  12. Sorry Vincent, I would have added to your post had I noticed. More post the better, agreed.
  13. In the paper today: South Burlington - Ben & Jerry's is recalling 250,000pints of its Country Peach Cobbler ice cream because the containers do not list wheat as an ingredient. I saw this in the store the other day and passed right by, only to ASSUME that it WOULD contain wheat.
  14. Vincent - contacts... Tina Penick, Roanoke 540-422-1170 celiac.kids_liason ......................... threnich@hotmail.com Debra Kemper, Salem, VA 540-389-6010 djkemper@adelphia.net Contact that you can go from there.
  15. Try: BRAT banana, rice, apple sauce and tea. Hope that you feel better soon.
  16. Ok.....I know this is not what you are looking for and not familiar as well. I use Hol*Grain - Brown Rice bread Crumbs. I use thin slices chicken breast, dredge in Bread Crumbs, Parm. Cheese (lots) garlic salt, pepper and lots of Mrs. Dash (all products are gluten free) -- pan fry, bake or deep dunk into oil. It is so very good especially if you...

    ARCHIVED Thank You

I just want to add that it is a great and wonderful to have more than a few gentlemen on the forum. And commend those that have been with us for so long with good advice and constant diligence. You know who you are. Celiac is definitely a trans-gender issue and I personally am glad that you guys are here to speak up. Even Jerry has set a standard...

    ARCHIVED Omg.....

I have to add... I made some clam chowder tonight and it turned out especially good tonight. I also had a grilled cheese made out of kinnikinnich White Sandwich Bread. I swear, it was better than regular bread. It is slicked thin so you don't get that doughy-grain. Dipped in the clam chowder, gosh, it was almost heaven. You have to keep it in the freezed...
  20. Janel: If you have any questions about products or any question as well. I can assure you that it will be answered quickly and acccurately. Like Nikki said, it can be very overwhelming in the beginning. With you language limitation with Bella, I can understand your frustration. It can be done and you will have a magnificent amount of support here...
  21. It is odd to me to respond to Byte Me , but, yes...I often crave tomatoes. When I do: 2 cans of Hunts tomatoes with Basil and Garlic Add some slices Mario's green olives Chopped up onions if you prefer.......and bake until almost liquid is gone. It's great with grilled chicken breasts or pan fried.
  22. I am glad that you are encouraged in the absence of your doctor. The doctors seem to know what they are doing. With hopes some answers will come quickly.
  23. I think, in general, beef if very difficult to digest. Dr. Oz says, the sometimes beef can stay in your stomach up to 7 days. Hummm, chew well.
  24. I think that there is something fishy here....at Sam's Club. I have a feeling that wheat was always there and they just tightened up on their labeling. I too have looked at the label and it lists wheat. That was many moons ago. But, the good news is....Tyson's Precooked Roaster is gluten free. And very good, I might add. (But as always read the...
