  1. Hello and Welcome! Yes there are other things that can atrophy the villi, but with associated clinical history, often times it points to a gluten intolerance, with Celiac on the high end of the spectrum. As with my endoscopy, when it's visible, there is considerable damage. I would suggest you research the gluten free diet, while awaiting...
  2. Hey and Welcome! If you have horses on your property, you can make it work. I have had several horses over the years, but none as a diagnosed person with Celiac. Others here have. What are your questions? Or, what is your routine with horses? We'll try to help AND welcome!
  3. Against the Grain, by Dr. Peter Greene is one of the best books out there....and welcome!
  4. Lucky, if you live in the US Modified Food Starch is not a concern. Enjoy a Sunkist.
  5. Yes
  6. You're right Anabanana...we learn to share with people and care with people. It can worry us or concern us about the people we share information about, and offer help...and we just don't hear back. I'm learning that's the way of the internet. We like to think that people have manners, but I guess, sometimes they just don't.
  7. Cool!
  8. No, sorry to say. But, things change quickly so be patient...maybe tomorrow. And Welcome!
  9. The weather causes me joint discomfort. And it's changing. Check with your doctor and have him/she run a full panel. Maybe you might find a deficiency that can be easily corrected. Have you tried going off dairy for several weeks? You might want to try that...and to add an other suggestion to that, it's flu season too. Hope you feel better...
  10. Vegas is easy - Google Las Vegas - gluten friendly restaurants/hotels.
  11. Oh yeah...must call mum and ask her recipe and post it here!
  12. Clever, indeed! And, I too agree. But, I also respect the fact that people use user names to protect their identity. It's nice to respect their privacy, too.
  13. I think you have a good feeling for what's what. It may very well be that you have an intolerance to gluten at some level, as well as a gluten allergy.
  14. Hi and Welcome! I'm not a teen, but I will share my thoughts. A positive dietary response can be diagnostic as well as other tests. Can you discuss this with your doctor, who should be well informed of your recovery while on the diet. Other than that, there is no other means to diagnose without returning to a full gluten diet, and that doesn...
  15. CC - I would suggest you Google "gluten friendly restaurants" in the area of your choice. At that point you can contact those dining facilities and request further information. Personal experience...I have none. , but hope to someday.
  16. Thanks TPG! Hope you're doing well! Still on the road?
  17. Here is a listing of Burt's Bees natural ingredients: (very informative) Open Original Shared Link
  18. Just because a company will not claim a gluten free status of a product, does not mean that they contain gluten. Generally, it's a CYA statement. So often these days of law suits, companies will claim "no gluten ingredients", rather than "gluten free". The standards for listing a products gluten free has yet to be established by law, in the US. Open...
  19. I may be wrong, but I believe that I have heard that B's B was sold and under a new company. That might explain the new CYA statement. It does list soybean oil and canola oil, which some people may be sensitive to. They still list all the ingredients very clearly on the ingredient listing. I have no issue with their lip balm.
  20. Find the category that would be appropriate for your questions and post it. For instance, if you have a questions about testing for Celiac Disease you can post here: https://www.celiac.com/forums/forum/13-celiac-disease-pre-diagnosis-testing-symptoms/ You can either comment on an existing topic, or begin a new topic. If you post in the wrong category...
  21. AND...you are welcome to post your questions here. This is the best support group around!
  22. The strata sound great because you can use gluten free waffles and prepare it the night before. I might substitute the smoked salmon for shrimp, and will be grilling a marinated beef tenderloin. I need one more thing, but Ambrosia with fresh cream for desert.
  23. We are rearranging our Christmas traditions to share with the in-laws this year. What's your favorite Christmas morn casserole or tradition?
  24. Not sure Dave. Will have to get Scott to comment on that question.
