  1. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences of LEEP. It's very calming to hear it from people who have been through it. Another question, did anyone have any problems with pregnancy after their LEEP?
  2. Yes, they said I will definitely need a ride home. Man, one girl walked out after having laser and all of us in the waiting room felt her pain. She walked in normally and had difficulty walking on the way out. She must have had a large area of her cervix done. I'm glad yours went smoothly.
  3. Hello, I'm back from my holiday. Has anyone ever had a LEEP procedure for abnormal cervical cells? I just had my colposcopy and most likely the doctor will do a LEEP after she gets the results. I would like to hear about other peoples experiences with this procedure.
  4. Western Sellers is the only liquor store in Alberta (that I know of) that sells Le Messagerie gluten-free beer. The only gluten-free beer in Canada.
  5. A long time ago, they said they couldn't confirm any of their ingredients would be free of gluten. I haven't asked lately, so who knows it may have changed.
  6. You have to click your Tools option to allow pop-ups.
  7. Kinnikinnick is the largest gluten-free online distributor in North America. Open Original Shared Link
  8. I travelled most of the summer because I couldn't pass up the job opportunity. It takes a lot of preparation in the beginning, but by mid-summer, travelling became routine. I always made sure the hotel had a fridge and microwave. I would prepare suppers for about three nights and pack them in my cooler. Also in the cooler would be lunch and breakfast...
  9. Does anyone know if Pernod is gluten-free?
  10. Yeah, Sobey's is useless for us. There is a lady at the Strathcona farmers market that sells gluten-free stuff, but I haven't tried any of her stuff. Also at the market is a farm that sells gluten-free meats, like deli meat, sausages, etc. I haven't tried these either, but the entire farm family is celiac, I believe. They have a website, but I can't remember...
  11. I was there before I was gluten-free. But, you could always go to the grocery store or the market and get fresh fruit and other stuff. I love Hawaii.
  12. It certainly won't hurt him to try the gluten-free diet. Give it a try for at least a few months and if he feels better then you have your answer. His body is trying to tell him something and I hope he figures it out. It's not very difficult if you stick to naturally gluten-free foods like fruit, vegetables, and meat in the beginning. You'll find lots...
  13. You'll get used to it. I found I went through withdrawal from dairy and it was difficult in the beginning. Try to replace dairy with something like nuts, nut butters, beans (such as make hummus or other dips), avacados, meat and eggs. After one year I can happily eat cheese again. But I actually love my coffee with Silk soymilk.
  14. There's a good number of us Canadians here and increasing!
  15. Go right to Kinnikinnick itself. It is cheaper to buy direct from their store and they have many other cool items only for us locals. Planet Organic near Whyte has everything you could want or need. Save-On Foods has a good selection of various items. Safeway, Superstore and Costco have okay selections. Sobey's and IGA have pretty much nothing...
  16. Some people have no noticeable changes. For me, many changes were immediate (within a few months) and some changes took up to one year.
  17. Just to clarify, it is the vegan wines that are casein-free. Vegetarian means dairy and eggs are allowed. I think if you google vegan wines, you'll find a few brands available.
  18. I personally think it could be the gluten. I didn't realize that gluten was causing my anxiety and extreme worrying until I went off gluten. I am a very calm person now; it's really amazing. I lost all of my exam anxiety and little things that always bothered me stopped after being gluten-free for awhile.
  19. I know what you mean. I have resorted to using a waffle/pancake mix and having them only on the weekends as a treat.
  20. My bc pills have lactose in them. But they do not bother me. You could try a different brand to see if they are the cause of your troubles. Or maybe it is still a food issue causing the troubles.
  21. You bet! But only for a second does the thought cross my mind. I then remember how sick I was for so many years and how I would love to have that part of my life back that the sickness stole.
  22. It was a long road of trial and error and testing before we figured out what was going on. The poor guy was sick for so long. Hey, kind of like me before the gluten-free diet. LOL. You may have to try various foods over the long term because changing their food too often may cause more problems. It's a lot of trial and error, basically. Allergies...
  23. Hello, we have one in Edmonton. I assume it is like Amaranth that you guys have down there. It is a great store and carries almost everything we could need (or want). Some of the prices for gluten-free products are comparable to Safeway.

I really don't think you have to worry too much. Just wash your hands if you feed him/her. Cats are very clean, especially after eating. They like to have a clean face. My bet is that that you'll fall in love with the kitty and at that point you will relax and have a great time. Please don't do this.
