  1. I agree that waffles with small holes are superior. No pooling of toppings, everything uniform. LOL
  2. Hopefully someone here knows off the top of their head, but the best way to get up to date info is to ask the company, so if you haven't, go ahead and write them so they can get back to you in a timely manner.
  3. A good way to try and pinpoint subtle things like that is to keep a diary. You can write down what you eat and how you physically and mentally feel that day. It may help you put it all together after a while.
  4. This. LOL But seriously, eat whatever you want. They say the equivalent of blah blah blah and your doctor may have taken it literally. Either that, or the person relaying the question may have just said no because they weren't sure. But if you only want to do the gluten challenge and do it right, eat the heck out of everything gluteny if you can...
  5. Mmmmmmm cake! There are a lot of good pie dough recipes that can be used for those uses. I use this recipe: Open Original Shared Link works and handles great. They have a recipe to replicate the flour blend used. I have made it a few times and make sure to leave pea sized chunks of butter visible in the dough before rolling it out so it is still tender...
  6. That is a good argument for waffles. Now I really want to get a waffle iron! I will burn the pancakes while tending to the eggs, etc all the time.
  7. Given all that info on your poor kitty, I agree that it is best to just stay with what is working. Funny, my cat also gets excited, eats without breathing, and then throws up whole kibble, so we have to feed her four times a day, lol. She doesn't even chew.
  8. Last night I made up some grilled pork chops, green beans, and these bacon ranch potatoes. One of the few things I make from a box, because I just can't stomach potatoes au gratin from scratch with all that cheese/fat in them. I go back to working my full, part time schedule next week. Been off a little bit while I was doing multiple appointments...
  9. There are a few manufacturers of RX pet foods. A lot of the ones that are commonly needed are made my more than one brand... my vets office sells the royal canin and the hills ones. So may be worth looking into especially if it is giving you grief. Still not a ton of options, though. My cat is on the Royal Canin Urinary diet regular calorie. They would...
  10. Pancakes > Waffles But my husband disagrees with that. You know, I don't own a waffle iron. Have thought about getting one. Maybe next Christmas I will drop a hint. That KAF recipe works fabulously with pancakes, and I like to add mashed banana and some cinnamon to it for banana pancakes. (You can do that with any pancake recipe really, just may...
  11. A lot of us here do baking at home, so we are glad to give tips. But what type of pastry are you talking about.... like puff pastry? If you can find a picture or recipe of the regular kind to let us know what you are going for, there should be someone here who can give tips. (Also don't know what squidgy means... lol) Looks like being in the UK some...
  12. Yeah definitely let them know about the family history, that will give them reason to do testing if they are on the fence about something.
  13. Last night did a country dinner- ham, black eyed peas, and corn.
  14. Yes, Ketosis can definitely cause these kinds of odors. Also, sinus infections can cause bad breath. You can use a sinus rinse and sometimes that can help. With my immune deficiency I get a lot of stuff, I know when a sinus or lung infection is coming on because I can smell it right before symptoms come on. Sounds gross, but paying attention to that and...
  15. Nice to have a tasty quick breakfast, especially for kids!
  16. We took a road trip to the black hills area with my dad shortly before he passed away. Other than our vehicle breaking down (great hospitality with local people with that) it was one of the best trips I have taken. So pretty! We saw the prarie dogs, and we witnessed big horn sheep mating which apparently is a rare sight, and good for the species. Want...
  17. What kind of hair does your daughter have, straight/curly etc? And were the suave and pantene ones too light? I would definitely recommend checking out a beauty supply store- usually they have decent prices and you can check it online, too. Here are a couple: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Also if you have Ulta where you...
  18. Oh, a meatball sub sounds delicious!!!!! I noticed that the farm rich meatballs which have never had gluten ingredients, are now labeled gluten free. They have regular, italian, and turkey.
  19. Yes, trade me!!! LOL! It took my husband 2 hours to get home, had to take back roads since driving on fresh snow is easier than compacted snow on the highway. So, I did chicken tacos tonight. I always add fresh cilantro... mmmmm cilantro!
  20. This topic was split off into its own thread since it is it's own discussion that is spanning multiple threads. 21. There were two different discussions going on here so one has been split off into its own thread https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/111042-duodenoscopes-for-ercp-cre-infections-in-the-news/
  22. Wellbutrin has generics, and there are likely multiple manufacturers of these, in the various strengths and IR/SR/XL. If one has lactose, check out another one, it may not.
  23. So in my fridge I had kale, mushrooms, and leftover cream cheese from those divine cinnamon rolls. Decdided to make it all into a creamy soup with quinoa, and it turned out really good! I was thinking it was either going to be all really good or really bad, lol. Here is what I made 5oz baby kale 16oz baby Bella mushrooms 2 cloves garlic, minced Onion...
