  1. Hi Random Guy. You could use rice flour or any gluten-free flour that you might have. Also, corn or potato starch. *Don't* use baking powder or soda.... I use potato starch for everything due to intolerances, and it works fine for dusting. I hope you enjoy your pizza
  2. Hi, I sought the help of an allergist when I started getting symptoms again after several months on the gluten-free diet. I did call around to the allergists in my area that were within my insurance. Some I spoke to did not deal in food allergies at all. But, the one I did choose to see was wonderful. He tested me for a slew of foods via skin scratch...
  3. I like the dark underneath Thanks for the stevia tip--I use either regular sugar or sugar in the raw and I really don't use too much of it--mostly the raw in my tea.
  4. Thanks Carla--I'm definately detoxing under my arms This is so wierd, ever since I went gluten-free, I'm so much more sensitive to everything, it seems. You would think that after almost a year and a half, it would be getting better. Anyway, I like your new pic! The braces are kind of cute (I hope they're not too uncomfortable)--and I like your...
  5. Hi everyone--ok, 2 days in a row I have a serious question (a wonder my brain dosen't explode ) I've been sticking to my basic diet pretty religiously. No gluten , soy, corn, legumes, coconut, grains, or dairy. Doing well most days. On Wednesday night, I made spanish rice--figured I'd try a little rice, and see what the status was there....
  6. Amanda, Yea, I would assume that you caught the virus. PS--There are no stupid questions around here! Feel better
  7. Hi Bill, Where does the South Jersey group meet?
  8. You guys are killing me here!
  9. Hi Lexis, I don't live in the area, so I don't know about those bakeries. I'm sure someone who does will be along soon. I just wanted to say congratulations on your upcoming Confirmation!
  10. But of course! What a handsome young man
  11. I use Neutrogena lipstick, lip gloss and tinted lip balm.
  12. I'll be looking forward to it--thanks!
  13. Last year, I used Carriefaith's recipe from her recipe thread. It was great, and I plan to make it again this year.
  14. Nikki--So nice to see Alan! He's one of us now, after all
  15. I've actually tried the Peabutter--and it's not bad! Thing is, I seem to be intolerant to all legumes right now I may try almond butter in this and the other similar cookie recipe. I'm kind of waiting to see if anyone else has tried that.
  16. It's times like this that I wish I could still eat peanut butter Those look fantastic
  17. Celia, I've not taken it myself, but a good friend's daughter has. She has been on it for several years now--starting when she was about 18. The only problem I know of was when she tried to wean off of it--that was pretty difficult, and she ended up just staying on it.
  18. That does make sense. After years of problems, it's no wonder that the muscles spasm.
  19. I don't know--I had a colonoscopy last year that was normal except for internal hemmorhoids. I am prone to D--never C, so I was surprised. That's the only thing I can think of in my case.
  20. I don't really have anything to add to your description. I also get the "twinge" and then it gets progressively worse. I've never taken anthing for it--just wait it out. I also have no idea what causes it to come on--it's completely random. Pushing down, for me, does make it feel better for the moment, but then makes it worse. I try to relax the muscles...
  21. Hi Julie, I'm sorry this is all coming down on you I'll think positive thoughts for you. Keep us posted on your procedure
  22. A little trick for microwaving breads. Wrap the slice in a paper towel first--that will take away the excess moisture.
  23. I'm sorry, Nikki It just dosen't seem fair that Alan will have this to deal with too. At least he has his dad to partner with. I think you're an absolutely amazing mom
  24. I think the luggage is a great idea--one they will certainly appreciate, and get good use out of. If you do decide to give them a little additional "something personal", you could put that inside one of the bags
