  1. The ingredient list looks fine to me--and Hormel is a company that will clearly list any gluten.
  2. Rachel--When my husband was bit, the circle around the bite was the size of a dime. It's not always big. Also, he had flu-like symptoms and the other stuff I already told you about. The bite mark did last a while--I don't remember exactly how long, but more than a week.
  3. I totally thought you were serious--until I burst out laughing
  4. Yep, I have a ceramic one--the metal one I had was not nearly as good. This one heats up in about a minute, and only takes one pass thru the hair. Susan--So true about not getting sick...I can't tell you how many times I said here that I haven't been sick at all since the dx--well, probably shouldn't have opened my mouth
  5. I have a Silly Putty story--one Sunday morning when I was maybe 7, everyone was getting ready for church. I decide to try to try transferring the Sunday comics onto my Silly Putty (like they did on TV). So I'm laying on the living room rug, and flatening the putty to get it ready. Trouble is, I'm pressing it into the carpet while doing this--*and it dosen...
  6. Well, you two definately look like mother and daughter! Can't wait to see the new picture. I'll have to flatiron mine and have Mark take some pictures for a new avatar. I know what you mean--I kind of hate to lose the curls. Maybe I'm just nuts
  7. Thanks! I'm a firm believer in all things happen for a reason I've not had a cold since I've been diagnosed--and I've been worried about my hair that has grown back in so nicely. I can always revisit this later on....
  8. I wanted a Barbie Doll and a maxi coat. I did have the 64 Crayola box with the sharpener--always hated to use them--they all looked so perfect and new at the start of the school year.
  9. Sounds to me like you made the right choice Good to see you again, Morgan! Well, too gosh darn bad for them!! Oh, while all of the "hair" ladies are here--I have cancelled my appt to have my hair straightened tomorrow. I'm nervous about the chemicals and am coming down with a cold.
  10. Amazing things can happen when you finally begin to absorb nutrients correctly! As I said above, mine completely turned around in 6 months, and I had been anemic for years.
  11. Turtle, I have that pain, too. It comes on unexpectedly and lasts from a few minutes to several hours. Deb, We have a family friend who had the prolapse. She had a one-time surgery for it (quite possibly her case was different, she's not a Celiac). She has been fine, though since. I'll keep your husband in my thoughts--he's been through so much...
  12. And it dosen't do their teeth any good, either
  13. Julie, You're so right about all of us learning together! I never (with the exception of iron levels) test positive for anything. Yet, I haven't felt really well in years. This is most interesting.
  14. I never had the urge to chew ice when I was anemic, but my mom--who is chronicly anemic--has always done this as long as I can remember.
  15. How do you feel otherwise? Could it be a virus? It's that time of year... Maybe stick with liquids like broth and diluted juices for a day or so and see how you feel.
  16. Hi Dani--sorry you're still not feeling well I start within about 2 hours with gas that progresses to D and nausea. This gets worse the next day or two. At this point, the anxiety, grouchiness and fatigue set in. This is the worst part. It does take a while for me to feel completely better. Sometimes a week or more. During that time, I can...
  17. It sure does! Congratulations
  18. Another, more time consuming option, cook a ham, turkey breast or a roast beef on the weekend. Use it as a meal, and slice the leftovers to use for sandwiches during the week. These slices, you could also freeze.
  19. Yea Rachel--I think that's a wise approach. Take care of the periphrial problems, and set the stage for the antibiotics to work on the target. Not that I know what I'm talking about either--but at least we understand what we mean
  20. Hi Lister, I know the Mylanta Classic is safe--I emailed them a couple months ago. Love the kitty pictures!
  21. Tavi and Richard Andrea and Liz--I saw an ad for Lingonberries in my new Living Without and thought of you two!
  22. Thanks Andrea--heading over there now...
  23. Hi Evie, I'm glad you found something that works! I had terrible neck pain in the morning, and even being dx with TMJ Disfunction and wearing a night guard didn't completely help it. I now use a visco-elastic pillow (the regular shape) and it's worked wonders. They also make them in a curved shape that puts a roll underneath your neck. That might...
  24. Kathy Ann, While I'm not the official last word here (that would be Scott, admin), I can't think of any reason why you can't have people email you about your soaps. After all, those emails and PM's are private anyway.
