  1. I use Extra Strength Bufferin--it's very easy on the stomach
  2. I PM'd Vincent to come back and check out the new 'do! I figure, if you're gonna get it cut, go all the way
  3. Vincent--Since you *asked*...I looked at your picture again, and did a search for the hairstyle that I thought would look good on you. I found this-- Open Original Shared Link I think it would look really good--don't hit me
  4. Are you serious?
  5. I'm also going to a different salon--one that I've heard very good things about. I just think it's time for a change. I'm actually kind of excited! I don't know if it's the cut, or it's just growing "funny". Either way, I only want the bare minimum taken off!
  6. Susan, Sorry about the hair Carla, plug your ears. OK, tomorrow morning I'm gettting my hair *trimmed*. I was not satisfied with the last cut I got several weeks ago and don't want to continue growing it out until the shape is right. It's somehow fuller on one side, and I swear, longer. it's driving me nuts! What is it with us and our...
  7. Jestgar, I always knew you were a girl!
  8. Wow Vincent, that's great. I'll keep my fingers crossed
  9. Hi Liz-- Glad things are getting back to normal for you. Hope your desk isn't too full of things to take care of--I know they have a way of building up fast
  10. As of yesterday, it was still on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't move it at the last minute.
  11. SOY SAUCE SUB 2 cups beef broth 2 tsp cider vinegar 1 tsp molassas 1/8 tsp ground ginger dash of pepper/onoin powder/garlic powder Combine all in saucepan. Boil until reduced to 1/2 cup. Store in fridge. I can't take credit for the recipe--I found it here. I *think* possibly it was from Liz (lonewolf)?
  12. Hi Tiffany-- Sorry I missed this! When we go to NYC, we usually stay at the Marriott Marquis--although it's been a couple of years since I've been there. I love the location--in the middle of everything, and the main reason we go is for the theatre. It is expensive, but convenient and very nice. We just park the car in their garage, and take...
  13. Happy Birthday, Ian!
  14. Hi Elizabeth, I had a similar situation last summer. I obsessed and worried about it for weeks before! Everything turned out fine--I shouldn't have worried--and you shouldn't either What I did was cook more than I really needed for meals some nights for the couple of weeks before. I'd make myself up a serving and freeze it immediately. I also...
  15. I'm just getting to the point where I have to do SOMETHING! I blew dry the other day, and it really has grown a bit--thanks to you
  16. I see the one on top of the mountain...
  17. I can't believe my self-control, but I'm not going to read it! I want to be surprised. I did see Matt Fox on the news today--he said that we're "not going to believe the first 5 minutes".
  18. Good luck at the salon, Susan! I've been thinking about getting a few highlights again while I'm growing out my hair. Would that be ok with you, Carla
  19. Anne-- I found your other thread and merged the two together. It had been moved to the products and medication forum. You can always look at the "View New Post" to find your topic.
  20. Funny--Wilson I have a picture that was taken 5 months pre Dx. My face was ghostly white, puffy and my eyes didn't look open all the way. Truly scary
  21. I like good old fashioned names! My guys are Matthew, Mark(husband) and John--people always say I should have had one more boy and named him Luke!
  22. You are right about letting things run their course. That's what I generally do, but there are times when I can't have D, so I use it then. Actually, I have not found that (for me) it prolongs anything. Quite the opposite, it quiets my system and usually by the next day, the D isn't as bad. It certainly helps with the cramping. I think it works...
  23. As soon as I read that line, I burst out laughing! No wonder your eczema is flaring up--remember to breathe, and that everything is going to be fine. I hope they get Alan in on Friday, so that can be over and done with. Sometimes the wait is the hardest part. My husband and younger son's middle names are Alan--even spelled the same
  24. I eat mostly bananas and mashed potatoes when glutened and try to drink a lot of water and hot tea. I try to get more rest since I get cranky (putting it nicely) and very tired. If I need to be anywhere, I use Immodium--2 caplets.
  25. Good thinking--planning ahead.....
